  1. I am sorry but if you watch that game and look at our roster, this D is going to be very bad. We did not play a difficult offense yesterday.
  2. PFF doesn't even have Week 1 grades up yet or I don't see them, anyway.
  3. I think these are preseason game grades.
  4. Literally this. Invest in some other options on the depth chart with reps. He clearly is not interested in performing.
  5. I don't think we are there yet. I think it was just sloppy football overall in week one. It wasn't like there was a bunch of exceptional rushing performances. On the contrary, there were three RB's over 82 yards rushing in Week 1(minus tonight's game).
  6. Make no mistake, the offense is potentially salvageable this season, the defense absolutely is not.
  7. I 100% agree. I haven't prepped for an interview in years. I say what is on my mind and they see the body of work. You either like it or you don't. Two times in my 20+ year career I have finished second in an interview process to a "very polished" interview candidate. I have been lucky enough to run across both the hiring managers in my travels(and after career ascending) afterwards and ask how those hires went. I always end up laughing at them and saying, "Well know you know the value of an interview, don't you?" The trade up to get XL and the "fifth year option" will forever be seared into my mind as a singularly stupid Panthers FO blunder. You are so giddy about how great this pick is that you have to get that 5th year so you can save money on this future HOF WR, huh? Meanwhile, XL is making more squirrel skinning videos on TikTok in the locker room.
  8. Wharton was the only appreciable pass rush element and he got injured early and often. TBH, once he was out for good, I am not sure we had a DL pressure the rest of the game.
  9. I thought we would be a little bit better defensively but even with all the signings, that defensive depth chart looked terrible. I just cannot fathom how anyone fell for that poo.
  10. I have worked with many an incompetent or willfully shitty employee that when I asked their supervision/management about them claimed they crushed the interview.
  11. I wouldn't even bother with Bryce again. Get Dalton ready. If he is still dinged up, try Hooker until you can't stand it anymore and then put Bryce back in until Andy gets healthy. There is little reason to showcase Bryce anymore. It's just hurting the extremely minimal trade value he might have left. If we are lucky, maybe a conditional 5th at the max.
  12. I would strongly disagree on TMac. He actually does have a fairly advanced route tree for a rookie WR. XL seems to think a route tree is something you corner a raccoon up before making him stew.
  13. We would have had to pay Saleh like a top 5 HC to get him to consider coming here.
  14. I am still flabbergasted so many pushed back on my assertion that this was the second worst roster in Panthers history. Like.....how was it not obvious???
  15. I disagree. We will continue to suck on D after he is gone too.
  16. 100%. Cam would be out there dying on his shield to try and counter our dumpster fire defense. You would also see him being a real vocal leader on the sidelines rather than being a room temp cup of expired milk like Bryce typically is.
  17. You didn't miss much other than the realization that we are way, WAY closer to another attempted rebuild than we are a turnaround.
  18. I would agree that dropping even prime Cam on this roster still probably isn't a GOOD team. It's a team that wins some fuging games, however. And probably rarely gets embarrassed.
  19. At this point the crying Jordan meme is the leader of this team.
  20. TBH, as someone who has seen all his games so far in the NFL, he is far more lost than Mingo or TMJ so far. It's literally disturbing how little he seems to understand how to play the position. And, quite frankly, the most disturbing was yesterday I saw some of the Mingo disinterest for that matter.
  21. It was a wild amount of sub-200 yd passing performances.
  22. He won't be starting much longer. He lived a charmed existence with a coach that made things very easy for him while so having the best offensive weapons in the NFL. He even managed to fug that up in the end. He is a backup QB.
  23. Might want to take a look at Darnold's game today if you think he is competent. Jets/Minny playoffs Darnold is back.
