  1. That is just 15 plays. I watched it again and this was what I saw. Play 1: Open Play 2: Open Play 3: Debatable. Gets open on the QB scramble. Would have been a tough throw to hit. Bryce made the better choice going where he did. Play 4: Not open Play 5: Open but he is gonna get obliterated for virtually no gain. Hospital ball if he throws it. Play 6: Not in the play. Play 7: Not in the play. Play 8: Not open. Play 9: Not open. Play 10: Not open. Play 11: Open but this should have been a TD to the guy he throws it to. Bryce made the right read. Play 12: Not open. Play 13: Not open. Play 14: Not open when Bryce throws. Play 15: Open and catch.
  2. I didn't see Thielen getting open often live. I haven't gone back to re-watch it though.
  3. Yeah, I mean the reality is that plenty of people did bring up the lackluster attention to WR in the offseason. I didn't think it was going to be this bad but we obviously are going to have to get a lot more creative to get some favorable matchups. The lack of talent and ability at WR is going to make us pretty easy to defend.
  4. TMJ is a flat out bust, IMO. Mingo I still have some hopes for. Being successful at WR in the NFL is about the ability to get separation. There are multiple ways to skin that cat but the bottom line is we don't really have any of those guys on the team other than Chark. That is a big problem. That also means the FO is not evaluating that position well at all.
  5. Well he is barely an NFL player, TBQH. He is a bust, plain and simple.
  6. Finally watched. Definitely not encouraging but not really about Bryce. I feel a lot better about that second INT for sure. If JT isn't concerned about that, I have no reason to be. Boy we might be in trouble if we don't see some scheme adjustments. We definitely need Chark back, obviously.
  7. No more in season trades at this point. Polish the turd we currently have and quit trying to add more corn kernels to it. Just fuging draft some actually talented WR's in an offseason for fug's sake.
  8. I am assuming we target WR's in next years draft and in 2025.
  9. Well, the is a gut punch. Even if Zavala does well at LG, we are in some serious poo on the OL. One more injury and we are into the "Oh poo" portion of the backups.
  10. Well we definitely can't afford another OL injury. BC hurts but it is going to get REALLY bad if another starter goes down.
  11. I have had the thought recently that maybe he is working out too hard. Perhaps it's one of these scenarios where he isn't managing his rest as well as he is going hard in training. Zero clue just a random theory.
  12. I am just not sure we could have seen the injury plagued run for Horn. He didn't have this rap in college. I was a Surtain guy but Horn is just a head scratcher. How do you plan for a guy that is always injured and doesn't have those classic injury red flags?
  13. If there aren't 9-10 wins between 2023-2024 seasons, then this entire thing was an unmitigated disaster and there is probably no light at the end of the tunnel. I think we will and have to do better than that. Anything else will mean we are the old Lions/Browns.
  14. That was such a fuging stupid play call. Either spread it out and go or go heavy and QB sneak. That was the dumbest play call of the game.
  15. Yeah, I didn't expect him to light it up maybe but maybe my expectations were too high. We will see. I just hope we don't see many more of those this season.
  16. I gotta be honest, outside the run defense at times and obviously the pass catchers, the team looked pretty decent. QB was the worst, receivers were #2 and that run defense was a close third.
  17. I just want us to get it together more for Game 2. That was a tough watch.
  18. Yeah, maybe my expectations were just too high for Game 1. It was bad. I just never in a million years expected it to be that bad. He is a super, super intelligent kid. I hope he takes it personally and rectifies all that next week.
  19. Go back and watch. He threw behind and over threw multiple times. I was flabbergasted. A couple I get but it probably happened 6-7 times at least. It's game 1, I am not jumping off a cliff but I am genuinely a little concerned. If he didn't get rattled by that game, I sure as fug did.
  20. Young is an extremely smart and heady guy. Those were two hyper dumb-dumb INT's in scenarios where there was no need to press. That's not what I expected. He just didn't see these guys and his brain is what I(and I think most of us) coveted most. But, remember the great Peyton Manning threw fugload of INT's in year 1. I am just still processing the shock. It's probably not going to end up as bad as that looked.
  21. It wasn't just long ones, he whiffed multiple times on the intermediate throws. There is no sugarcoating it, he was really, really bad. I fully expected us to lose but I just didn't see him performing that poorly coming. I don't really know what to think. I hope it's just an aberration.
  22. I am not complaining. I can't believe what I just saw.
  23. He over threw and threw behind on multiple occasions. That was a real stunner. He is the rookie I expect to have the least issues with that. Like I said. I couldn't have possibly have been more of a Young supporter but JFC he did not look good. I mean, at all. I am literally shocked about the performance.
  24. Yeah I didn't love our "weapons" or the scheme. Young wasn't completely at fault.
