  1. I mean....Little Monster, maybe.
  2. I will say that the past 2-3 offseasons have been pretty confounding and/or underwhelming and they turned out pretty well. I will withhold a lot of judgement for that reason but....I don't love it.
  3. He is 1,000,000% actively seeking it. He is playing into it intensely and it is about as obvious as any social media Insta/Tikta ho. Again, I will stop having issues with this once he starts not looking like a complete bust. Once that happens, I will defend him intensely when he is attacked about his dumb shenanigans. Same as I did Cam. I only get annoyed because he isn't cutting it as a football player. IDGAF about the off the field stuff.
  4. I think that a lot of the star players just aren't interested in playing hard all game, playing both ends of the ice and also coming to NC. For the offensive players, I think them not being "featured" offensive guys is an issue too. So, yes, it's partly a system problem but I think it does largely have to do with the players more than Rod.
  5. I think we are struggling to really attract guys.
  6. I generally believe that XL is less genuine with his schtick than Cam was. But, I know neither at a personal level, so I have no way to truly know. I know that if Sam Darnold or Matt Corrall was doing all the poo Cam did on/off the field and getting XL level coverage, I would be pretty over it too. Not saying I have any issue with XL's antics but Cam's production outweighed the sideshow that he was. Currently XL is 98% sideshow and 2% production.
  7. He is an underwhelming player on a cheap rookie deal. The type of clauses you are talking about would be something to discuss if he ever panned out and signed a large second contract. Otherwise, nothing to see here other than someone building their "brand." Someone will eventually have to explain to me how this guy, who is not productive at all on the field, gets all this adulation for his oddball off field/on field antics and schtick but Cam got absolutely pilloried for his oddball antics while being arguably the best player in franchise history.
  8. I opened the article, scrolled down and the instant I saw the header saying he was a DT, I immediately knew it was Newton.

  10. Yeah, love the dude but he is just past his prime at this point.
  11. Bobrovsky is going to be 37 next season. As much as he has finally proven himself elite in the postseason, he is coming quickly to the end of his career.
  12. Burns at 5-6 seems....a little aggressive.
  13. https://www.espn.com/nhl/story/_/id/45603859/ducks-send-g-gibson-red-wings-g-mrazek-draft-picks I mean....this feels like a trade we could have made.
  14. I guess we are trying to get a bulk discount on English classes for Nikishin?
  15. They are really trying to make this so much worse than the NFL Draft.
  16. You can't donate enough money to not be shitty owners. Quite frankly, the 1% involvement in charitable deeds is rarely as transparent as you may believe.
  17. It's not even really nearly as nefarious as people make it out. These teams are a financial investment. They are just protecting their investments. Do they fug the fans and players in the end? Of course. Same way corporations always fug the employees and clients long before they ever consider fuging shareholders.
  18. Ain't no sportsbook giving you a worthwhile line on this.
  19. She is basically an even better example of his general incompetence. Why the fug does the owners fuging spouse have any sort of input on personnel decisions? The way the organization is structured, internal horseshit, PR, etc, etc....IDGAF if she is involved in that as long as she isn't mucking it up or has some clue. But it's very, very, VERY unlikely I am gonna believe some hedge fund billionaires wife had the foggiest notion about anything in regards to legit pro or college personnel decisions. I believe that even less than I think some fuging billionaire hedge fund manager has any clue about football decisions either. His "experience" was cosplaying as a Steelers minority owner. fug 'em both. HARD.
  20. Also nabbed a wild trade price for a RB. People were upset but that was far more than he was worth. Now, if you want to talk about how terribly we squandered those resources....that is unquestionably true.
  21. Yeah, I feel like that is even a stretch. I say this as a guy who argued vehemently against signing him to a big extension like we did. CMC is a great player and good person. I just believe the modern NFL is clearly anti-RB spending. We see outliers like Barkely that people like to quote but that is not reflective of the entire NFL's opinion on RB's.
  22. I don't think he faked any injuries. He is juat injury prone due to overtraining and general makeup. There is no conspiracy here.
  23. Same reason we get fired up about David Tepper being in involved in football decisions, neither of those two goofs have the first fuging idea what they are doing.
