    jeebus, 13 picks. we drafted an entire new team. at least they weren’t all defense.

    we have very little actual data about how any team, much less this specific staff, analyze their picks, free agents, and trades. we know Tepper says he likes to be data driven, but of course personal bias always comes into play with any decision. the discussion suggested that draft position was the important factor, where as there are many factors that went into that draft position. i expect the bias leans more toward those factors than the draft position result.

    i certainly hope our GM, HC, and scouts don’t look at draft position when evaluating free agents or possible trades. that’s fanboy material, nothing more.
