  1. That sucks. He was so good before his injury a few years ago. I legit thought he was going to be a future MVP. Now, only a couple years later, he got benched for a 3rd round rookie, and just got ran out of town. Life sure comes at you fast.
  2. Well, that 2022 2nd can turn into a first if Wentz and the Colts meet certain stipulations. Either Wentz plays 75% of the snaps, or plays 70% and the Colts make the playoffs.
  3. Brady has covered up SO MUCH for that team over the past 20 years. They have been horrible drafters, and pretty horrible over all talent evaluators....at least on the offensive side of the ball.
  4. I keep saying this, but it bears repeating....the LA Rams have not had a first round pick since like 2016, and they will not have another one until like 2025. They seem to be doing alright for themselves. They are not afraid to use future first rounders to go grab CURRENT superstar NFL players.
  5. I WISH our current QB was as washed as Ben. I don't think people here downplaying his last season have checked his stat line. Completion %: 65.6 Yards: 3,803 TD: 33 INT: 10 QBR: 94.1
  6. Honestly I’d give them all 5 firsts the next 3 years and not even think twice about it.
  7. Have any other teams out there been linked as hot and heavy to Watson as we have? I admittedly look at it with a biased Panthers eye, but seems to me is, the Jets and Dolphins are the 3 horses leading the race and everyone else is way back in the distance. And it seems that most of the Miami/NY talk is just because there is a perceived need and they have all those extra draft picks. But is there really a QB need with these teams? Tua showed a lot of potential in his play this year, and Darnold is not a bad QB, just on a bad, bad team thus far. Plus they are both still really cheap.
  8. They’re not even having the combine this year, are they?
  9. You think one of those teams is Jacksonville lol?
  10. Why not indeed? Probably because they would be driven out of town with pitchforks and shotguns by the people of Jacksonville if they traded away Trevor Lawrence? The same Lawrence who’s heralded as the best college QB of all time and the most can’t miss QB prospect basically ever? I don’t think there is a trade package that exists that will pry #1 away from the Jags, and for good reason.
  11. I mean, Rivera was a great coach for us, no matter how you want to slice the last couple of years. He won NFL Coach of the Year twice, almost led us to an undefeated regular season, and made the playoffs 3 times in a row. BY FAR the best we’ve ever been for any sustained period of time. Did the wheels fall off at the end? Sure. But they always do for 99% of all NFL coaches. 10 years is a long time in one spot. Hell, just look at the job he’s done in DC so far, and look at the potential juggernaut they’re building up there. Ron is a great coach. Full stop.
  12. Lol that is in no way, shape or form this current iteration of the Panthers. I venture to guess that there is not one single person still employed with the organization who was around for what you are talking about. We might as well be a new expansion team in that sense.
  13. What do you mean it would make no sense? Watson has publicly stated he wants out, and wants nothing more to do with the Texans situation. That’s all the sense you need right there. That place is a dumpster fire, and I don’t think anybody blames him for wanting out.
  14. LOL stop with the hyperbole and silliness. You don’t think we have the ability on our staff to successfully scout QBs? They took a swing and a miss at Teddy. poo happens. He looked perfectly suitable in his last stint with NO. And it’s not like there was a plethora of great QBs just itching to come to Charlotte last off season. They shot their shot on Teddy, and unfortunately they missed. It’s easy to play armchair GM after the fact.
  15. Turns out BB and his Patriots are not that great without the greatest QB of all time lining up behind center.
  16. He didnt "start breaking down". He had a badly sprained ankle, and then jammed his shoulder. Neither have anything to do with over usage. And I would imagine that had we been a good team, and been in the hunt, CMC would have been playing at the end of the year.
  17. What makes you think his injuries last year had anything to do with his previous usage? He sprained his ankle, and then hurt his shoulder....what are you talking about?
  18. Its untenable to pay a RB AND a QB top flight money, especially when you can get a serviceable RB for pennies compared to what we pay CMC. You cannot pay a guy like Watson 35 mil and also pay CMC 16 mil....and also pay Moton 17-20 mil or whatever it is. No way you tie up 40% of your cap in 3 spots on offense.
  19. If you are down to give up 3 firsts or whatever, you have to be down to give up 4 as well. Once you are in the game, you are in the game. Realistically, there should be no price too high to get a guy like Watson. First round picks are HUGELY over-valued by most people. The Rams have not, and will not have a first round pick for nearly an entire decade, and they are one of the more successful teams around lately. They deal their firsts for proven superstar players. Not a bad model to follow. Draft picks are unknowns. Established talents are not.
  20. Bullshit. David Tepper is my dad and I have no idea who you are.
  21. That’s actually a pretty spot on description.
  22. He might be a good candidate for the Charles Woodson treatment. Side over to Safety and extend his career by 4 or 5 seasons. I think he could be good in that spot.
  23. I think just about all of those guys listed are at a position of need for us, and would all be an upgrade over what we had last year. I hope we can make some smart signings, bolster the o-line, and find our future QB this off season. The future is very bright, but they need to start improving NOW. There is a lot of good talent out there available.
