Roman Harper thinks Sean Payton could be our next HC now
joemac replied to ncfan's topic in Carolina Panthers
Well at least we didn't fully guarantee Deshaun Watson a quarter billion dollars, or trade the farm for a declining Russell Wilson, and then tie ourselves to him for the next 7 years, for another almost quarter billion dollars. -

Is there an actual quote from Payton claiming he’s got to have full control at whatever job he takes next?

Why would that happen? The Saints always had a good GM when Payton was there. Mickey Loomis was there for a long time and they seemed to work together on personnel matters. I imagine it would be the same type of deal here. -

Sure we do. We have consistently been listed as the most attractive open coaching destination. -
Brady was 3rd in the NFL in DYAR, Rodgers was 16th. Brady was 8th in DVOA, Rodgers was 21st. Brady was 18th in QBR, Rodgers was 27th. Brady was 25th in Completion Percentage Above Expectation, Rodgers was 26th. Green Bay had 30 drops on the season. Tampa Bay had 29. I am basically unaware of any meaningful metric or efficiency rating that doesn't show Brady had a better year. If you can make a solid argument as to why you believe that, I am all ears but the eye test and the stats do basically align on Rodgers looking worse.

66.8 4,694 25 9 90.7 This trash would be one of the most prolific QB seasons in Carolina Panthers history.

If SP really is considering coming here, you have to know he has a plan at QB. So, if that’s the case, let the chips fall where they may and let’s go kick some fuging ass. Nobody would have predicted Brady would be a Buc 3 years ago, so who the hell knows?!

Hear motherfuging hear

Who cares?! In that case we’re in the same spot as now but with a ring!

Let’s fuging goooooooooopo

If we do get SP, best believe we’re going all in to get a good QB. His offense don’t work without one, and I doubt he’d agree to come here without a plan in place to land said QB. Doesn’t have to be Lamar. Could be Carr. poo, could be Brady. Who knows. -

Lol….ok Mr. Scott. Because no way in NFL history have people ever talked “unofficially” and worked out a deal. Doesn’t the interviewing of DC’s without a HC under contract strike you as odd? -

You likely hated him because he ate our lunch year after year, right? Welcome to the Dark Side. It’s fun over here. -

But nobody died. And if you think NO was the only team doing something like that, then…. Also, the NFL is violent by design. They’re trying to hurt the other team every play, regardless of what they say to the media. It’s a big boy sport. -

We’re hiring SP on Friday or whenever Tepper meets with him in NYC. Book it. -

This is where I’m at. The league as a whole doesn’t give a poo, so why should I? I just want my team to WIN! The Cam years were so much fun because we won, and we always knew we had a chance. I’m just so so so tired of mediocrity. I’m not their boss, partner, friend, nothing. If they’re allowed to play, then fug it. I’m over having some kind of superiority trip. I just don’t care anymore. -

Everybody acts so “holier than thou” and sanctimonious online. It’s the NFL, not a morality contest. Personally unless it’s something incredibly illegal and egregious I can look past it.
