  1. Fitterer might be just as busy tomorrow as he was today - Place Darnold on IR opens up a roster spot (prob for a PK) - sign a new kicker - we're #6 on the waiver wire - fill 16 player PS
  2. Jermaine Carter just got his ass cut by the Chiefs
  3. Quarterbacks (3): Baker Mayfield, Sam Darnold, PJ Walker. It's reasonable to expect that the Panthers will clear a roster spot soon by putting Darnold on short-term IR (since head coach Matt Rhule said this week that Darnold would miss "at least four weeks" with a high ankle sprain). And until or unless they make a move (and Rhule didn't rule it out), that means they'll roll into the regular season with Mayfield and Walker as his backup. Running backs (3): Christian McCaffrey, D'Onta Foreman, Chuba Hubbard. This is a tight group, and they complement each other well. Of course McCaffrey's ability dictates that he get a lot of work, but Foreman had a good preseason, and gives them a bigger back who has proven to be effective in short-yardage situations. Hubbard still has home-run speed, and because of the way the roster fell, will likely be a key part of their special teams this year. https://www.panthers.com/news/initial-53-man-roster-breakdown-2022
  4. 6 DT's ?! 4 DE?! Clearly there's a move coming here shortly
  5. Wow Texans traded DT Ross Blackcock to Vikings
  6. Mike Florio https://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2022/08/30/baker-mayfield-reportedly-said-of-browns-im-going-to-f-k-them-up/
  7. BRANDON ZYLSTRAWR, UNSIGNED FREE AGENT Panthers released WR Brandon Zylstra. Zylstra, 29, caught a career-best 18 passes for 250 yards and one touchdown last season in Carolina and was re-signed to a one-year deal. But with the additions of Rashard Higgins and Laviska Shenault this year, Zylstra is squeezed out of a roster spot.
  8. Who that’s why we traded for Laviska Shenault yesterday
  9. Interesting to see if we keep Hoskins or McCall
  10. He young (26) and has extensive experience and position flexibility (34 career games with 21 starts, left tackle (13 games), left guard (seven games) and right guard (one)
  11. McAdoo will use Shenault in similar ways the 49ers use Deebo and Falcons use Corderalle Patterson
  12. DENNIS DALEYT, TENNESSEE TITANS Titans acquired OL Dennis Daley and a 2024 seventh-round pick from the Panthers in exchange for a 2024 fifth-round pick. Drafted by the Panthers in 2019, Daley has taken snaps at every offensive line position but center since joining the league. The bulk of his snaps have come at tackle. He has started 18 games for Carolina including nine in 2021. Pro Football Focus has generally graded Daley as a middling run-blocker and a poor pass-blocker. Daley was unlikely to crack the Panthers' final roster, making this a savvy deal from GM Scott Fitterer.
