  1. STEPHON GILMOREDB, INDIANAPOLIS COLTS Colts signed CB Stephon Gilmore, formerly of the Panthers, to a two-year contract. The deal is worth around $23 million. Gilmore, the 2019 defensive player of the year with New England, joins a Colts defense graded by Pro Football Focus as 2021's eighth best coverage unit. Indy could have one of the league's top secondaries with the addition of Gilmore and veteran S Rodney McLeod, who was signed by the Colts this week. Gilmore, 31, graded out as PFF's No. 7 coverage cornerback last season in a terrible Carolina defense. At full strength, the Colts defense will be a tough matchup for opposing quarterbacks and pass catchers.
  2. Tepper is smart not to talk he knows no matter what he says he's gonna get criticized.
  3. Fitterer will trade out of the #6 pick and in doing so acquires a 3rd round pick this year This 3rd round pick will then be sent to San Francisco along with Sam Darnold In return the 49ers will send Jimmy Garoppolo and a 6th round pick
  4. Rhule will have plenty of college offers when we fire him he’ll be fine
  5. Both are better QB’s than any of these draft prospects this year. I’d be good with it

  9. Both are better QB's than any draftable qb's in this years draft. You have to realize just how bad this QB class really is
  10. Sports Illustrated's Albert Breer believes drafting a quarterback with the sixth pick in the NFL Draft is the Panthers' "only way out" of the team's quarterback predicament. Breer said the "financial complications" of Sam Darnold's disastrous contract, "the inability to attract a proven star at the position and the hot-seat element" has "driven [Carolina] into a corner where, outside of a swallow-hard trade for Jimmy Garoppolo (and his injury timetable is relevant, given that the Panthers have Ben McAdoo introducing a new offense), it feels like using the sixth pick on a quarterback is the only way out, which isn’t where you want to be." The Panthers have met with all of the draft's top signal callers including Malik Willis, Sam Howell, Matt Corral, Desmond Ridder, and Kenny Pickett, who has a history with Carolina head coach Matt Rhule. Unless Darnold has made vast improvements from last season, it's possible a rookie quarterback would be the Panthers' Week 1 starter. Carolina is 22-43 since last making the postseason in 2017, becoming an NFL laughingstock along the way.
