  1. Today was an almost perfect day to attend Carolina Panthers training camp. Perfect weather, players were in pads, and practice took place on the near field. Really it was a trifecta of good fortune I am very much appreciative of. On with the thoughts and musings. - The starting offensive line was most commonly: Erving - Eiflen - Paradis - Miller - Moton . I would be shocked if this was not our week one offensive line. The right side of the line played superior to the left, as you can imagine. - Moton took all of his reps at RT for the entire day. - Brady Christensen also took all his reps at RT on the second string. Christensen still looked very raw to me. He isn't close to being starting material on the right side and won't be playing on the left anytime soon. - Robby Anderson is playing with a big chip on his shoulder. Perhaps he is responding to the added competition in the form of Terrace Marshall Jr. After a nice one on one drill, Robby let some emotion out by punting the ball straight up in the air. - Derrick Brown is an absolute beast. In one on one drills he basically just bull dozes anyone in front of him and there isn't much they can do about it. This guy is going to have a monster year. - The Darnold to Arnold connection is developing quickly. With each passing day the chemistry between them can literally be seen growing. I am having to now temper my expectations. - Speaking of Sam Darnold, today was his best day yet. He looked poised, in control, and threw some of the best passes I have seen in camp in many seasons. Still, there were also plenty of sacks from him holding on to the ball too long. I am hoping this will work itself out as he gets more comfortable with the play book. - Brian Burns was a force all day today. He lined up on both the left and right side where he got multiple sacks on the day. Mostly against Erving but one also against Moton.
  2. Drills at the start of practice.
  3. Jaycee had a better day today. With refs on the field throwing flags I didn't see him attract any negative attention. During 11 on 11 team drills he had a really nice PBU against Darnold and DJ Moore. Here he is defending the new guy Krishawn Hogan (who is 6'3 btw).
  4. His blocking didn't look all that bad today either. Plus, the guy has some swagger. Helps get the offense energized.
  5. Kid isn't coachable I guess. This is stuff he was yelled to about his rookie year. At this point is it time to cut our losses?
  6. My favorite play of the day wasn't a long bomb or even a touchdown. It was something far more important, imo. 11 on 11 First string offense vs first string defense Defense blitzes. Jeremy Chinn at the LOS making his way to the QB. Near instant pressure. Sam Darnold stands tall in the pocket and delivers a perfect strike to Dan Arnold in the middle seam for 20 yards. First down. This single play has given me so much hope.
  7. Lets not forget Hurney wanted to trade up into the first to get Little. Luckily he didn't find a trade partner.
  8. Greg Little looks exactly like he has his career so far. Half way decent against big lumbering ends, but as soon as anyone with speed is out there he gets cooked immediately. Still overextending those arms and taking himself out of the play. Here he is against Larkin (who won't make the team).
  9. can't fuggin wait We have some good tv to look forward to
  10. Please use this thread for all things Panthers training camp for Wednesday August 4, 2021. I will be out there today so if someone could add my all important tweets to the thread I would preesh.
  11. I am trying to figure out how a DT can flash with no pads on yet.
  12. Mac Jones is a turd. I'm pulling for cam.
  13. He wasn't going to make the team. Why keep him around and risk him doing it again?
  14. I'll make you a deal chuck. Stay out of the Panthers forum and I won't delete you (again). What is your reply?
  15. I think preseason will be huge for Nixon. Thats when the big rookies can really shine
  16. Rhule has a history of praising folks that he thinks need to show improvement. Its a motivation tactic. Also See Thomas, Ian
  17. I think Terrace and Tremble have stood out in all aspects. Jaycee looks good minus all the holding. Can he fix it? The rest haven't been noticeable really.
  18. They won't let me take tight up close shots of wide receivers against defensive backs because they are worried their secrets will be revealed to other teams. But other guys can video the entire damn field and upload it to youtube. It makes no sense. The real reason is that the Panthers want themselves to be the only Panthers media outlet, so they can control the narrative. They used to have 3 people in that department. Now it is up to 20.
