  1. Miami WR Philip Dorsett coming up soon on Path to the Draft. Carolina has expressed interest in the blazing receiver and remember how much we liked Cooks. Similar skill sets and big play ability. He would help make this offense dynamic.
  2. Florio reporting Hardy called out Coleman about his lack of effort in conditioning drills.
  3. @RapSheet: Pitt OT TJ Clemmings had a stress fracture in his foot discovered on a team visit, sources says. He didn’t feel pain, didn’t know it existed
  4. Bring on Barca. I like that the second leg is in Munich again. Our backs will have their hands full. Hopefully some guys can get healthy in a hurry. What's the latest on Schweinsteiger, Ribery, and Robben? And poor Holger Badstuber... guy has the worst luck with injuries.
  5. I don't necessarily agree. At a crucial point in the playoff game against Seattle we had Bersin the primary target on the field in the red zone against that secondary. That was partly because of Shula, and partly because we are devoid of talent at the WR position. We absolutely need a skill position player that can turn a small gain into an explosive play/touchdown from anywhere on the field. We need a deep threat and a speed threat desperately in this offense. Part of the reason I like Dorsett/Agholor/Perriman the most at 25. Devin Smith in the second fits the bill but I think we would have to trade up for him. Our offense has lacked that dominant athlete to make explosive plays and make defenses feel threatened in the passing game. Kelvin needs a target across from him that defenses pay an equal amount of attention to every snap to open things up for the running game and Olsen as well.
  6. Not a big Peat fan. Would prefer the trio of Humphries, Devin Smith, and Duke Johnson.
  7. Want. I'd be cool with Dorsett at 25. He brings that speed we need and is polished as a route runner. He isn't just a deep threat. Has the ability to turn short crossing routes and screens into an explosive play.
  8. Beauty goals from Thiago, Boateng, and Lewandowski. World class service on each.
  9. Bayern! Allianz is rocking in Munich tonight. Porto didn't stand a chance.
  10. I just remember picking out all the The Golden Calf of Bristol jerseys at training camp and thinking to myself "well, they are going to be disappointed when he doesn't make the team."
  11. I actually spent quite a bit of time around Tim when I worked for the Patriots. He's by all means a great guy and was really good to the fans. In fact, the Kraft family brought him in, sold over a million dollars in his jersey sales during pre-season, then cut him. Genius.
  12. Was Collins' mom the one that was heated when he went to Bama instead if LSU when he declared at the All-American game? Crazy how time flies if so. I remember watching him as a senior in high school now he's a pro.
  13. We have met with loads of mid and late round prospects from both large and small football programs. Check out the prospect meetings list in the Draft forum.
  14. Not that I know of. Been real quiet on the safety front for us.
  15. I think Collins is the better athlete but they both share lots of similarities. Rivera has wanted his big time safety for so long but I don't want to force the issue at Cam and the offense's expense. It's time we get serious about building around our franchise quarterback. It's been long enough. Give the kid what he needs to take the next step.
  16. Safety is where I want to go if we do go defense early on, I just desperately want to give Cam another weapon or protection up front in the first and second. Yeah, I'll probably be disappointed if we go heavy on the defensive side again but I do trust Gettleman. I just don't love what I've seen from Collins as a first round safety.
  17. Debatable that he is even the top safety anymore. Big time liability in coverage and really just a box safety to me. Rather we wait and address the position in the 3rd with someone like Sample or Tartt if he's available. Collins' stock has been falling as of late and will honestly probably be available at 25 but I don't want him there.
  18. Maine: Some of the more famous/nationally distributed include Sea Dog, Allagash Brewing Co, and Shipyard Brewery. I also enjoy Geary's, Sebago Brewing Co and Rising Tide Brewing Company. Still lots I have yet to try but the beer business in Maine has come a long way in a short time.
  19. I'd be cool with Dorsett round one. I'd hope Shula could implement his skill-set into this offense correctly. I think he brings the speed we need to stretch the field but I also like that he goes up and gets the ball and I think his hands are pretty dang good. He'd be lethal if he reaches his ceiling. Nearly impossible to cover if he mastered the route tree.
