  1. The thought of McConkey and T Mac… damn. What could have been.
  2. Jaycee sure does avoid wrapping up in the run game. Gets paid and chooses not to tackle with any sort of urgency. That was a strength of his in college and early in his NFL career. No wrapping up, just throwing his weight around with a half ass effort.
  3. Wasn’t the ruling on the field a catch? And irrefutable evidence is needed to overturn? I never saw an angle that even showed the ball touch the ground.
  4. Unfortunately there’s a clip out there circulating of XL giving about 5% effort on a critical down and distance when run blocking. Let’s his man blow right past him, largely untouched, to make a TFL in the backfield. Gotta wonder if our staff even serves up ass-chewings in the film room for plays like that. High school players would get benched for the effort he showed on that play. For a 230lb WR he sure does play scared.
  5. If the injuries to Wharton, Bobby Brown, and Patrick Jones keep all or some of them of them out for a significant amount of time… this defense might compete with last year for worst of all time. Just shameful with or without Derrick Brown. Dude has 0 help out there.
  6. I’m not sure Dave is on the hot seat. I think Bryce has the shorter leash. Dave nor Morgan drafted Bryce. Think they will get a shot to draft their own QB and let the chips fall where they may from there. I still think Canales has a chance to be a successful coach here, but there are going to be a lot of bumps and growing pains along the way. Evero and Bryce will be shown the door before Canales.
  7. Loser of Miami/Carolina this year will likely be in line for the #1 overall pick.
  8. XL just doesn’t belong on the outside. Really not sure where we fits at the moment but it’s clear he’s not a natural.
  9. Lotta lack of accountability from Corbett post-game in the locker room interviews I’ve seen.
  10. Thought he had some room to run to pick up the single yard that was needed. Much like the first INT which was forced and completely unnecessary when needing a single yard with daylight to run. For someone labeled a “super processor” his lack of situational awareness in key moments is alarming.
  11. Unfortunately it’s called the “loser’s tax”. We simply have to overpay our free agent acquisitions because the team is down bad and the league and its players know it.
  12. Time to end the guard to center transition experiment with Corbett. Might have been the worst player on the field today and that’s saying something. Mays is probably a guard by trade too, but I’m riding with him at this point. Draft a center in the early second round next draft. Haven’t had a center worth a damn since Kalil retired.
  13. It’s almost as if his brain evaporates from his skull in every “gotta have it” situation. He makes some good plays, throws some good balls. But in every clutch or pivotal moment, he makes just about the worst play possible under whatever the circumstances are. It’s almost anti-clutch.
  14. Looked like PI from the end zone view. Got there early and tugged before the ball arrived. Panthers do not get those calls, however.
  15. No chance the Manning’s let Arch declare if Carolina holds the first pick. He will simply go back to school just as Luck did to avoid this franchise.
  16. Haven’t read any of this thread or any articles etc. but my key to this game is Chuba, Rico, and the running game. If Ickey is out which it looks like he will be, our offensive line can’t afford to drop back and throw 35-40+ times. Their interior is the weak link and it’s our strength. I could see Chuba churning out 5+ YPC, and opening up the passing game for us with playaction. How it all plays out I have no idea. Worried about the rookie kicker in the clutch and our ability to be disciplined and not rack up stupid drive-killing penalties.
  17. Per Panthers.com and Twitter. Curious what this does to our cap and if we are making a move for another piece on defense. Hope that knee of his holds up.
  18. Heck nah. Bloated contract and another box safety that is poor in coverage. Not what we need either with Trevon and Lathon already here.
  19. Ladies and gentleman, we have a depth problem. Team feels undisciplined as well - I have a feeling penalties will kill us all year long as I know they’ve been an issue in camp.
  20. Winners: Corey Thornton - Aggressive in run defense, capable in pass defense. Might be another UDFA gem. Loved what I saw. Tetairoa McMillan - Showed the big play ability and hands to be selected in the top 10. Jalen Coker - Ascending. Might be the most reliable target on this team now, and going forward. Nick Scourton - Loved the hustle to notch his first sack. Had a couple TFLs as well. Losers: Nick Scott Andy Dalton Special Teams 2nd/3rd String Defense Jack Plummer Xavier Legette
  21. Horn might have walked in with a QB that could deliver an accurate ball. Have they been this putrid in camp?
  22. Dalton making it legitimately difficult to evaluate the 2nd and 3rd string offense. Not what you want folks.
