  1. Matt Rhule boggles my mind. Like in camp, bragging about how he let other coaches dictate what they wanted to do. Almost like it was a privledge to be on the field with people who are better. and then your QB problem...is essentially mapped out by your Defensive Coordinator. What does Matt Rhule actually do and good for?
  2. and then you can you know....just let him have time. And he will just give you the balll too. Sam is the worst QB in the NFL when not pressured. Just look at the last 2 weeks, horrific INTs......nothing to do with the OL sucking. It's what he always has been.
  3. The NFL had a chance to get film on Sam Darnold in the Carolina offense. And now he looks every bit the textbook defintion of Sam Darnold and being the worst starting QB in the NFL. Which is the position he has held for some time now (rookies and QBs forced in by injury don't count when competing for the crown).
  4. Adrian Peterson once set the single game rushing record against the best rushing D in the NFL. Bad games. Happen. Did they play great against Dallas? No. But you are going to have those every once in awhile. the D played great against the Eagles. They set up a blowout early for an average offense. You leave any NFL defense on the field all game with zero offense......things will get bad evetnually. That was the case for our D vs the Eagles and Giants. Did we give up some plays agasints the Cowboys and Vikings? Yes, and that is going to happen vs really well built offenses that feature a good QB, good RB, and multiple good WRs. The league is designed for them to win.
  5. Defense is fine. You leave them on the field with no offense….and yeah, they eventually give up points. That’s not a defensive problem. It’s horrific offense bleeding over.
  6. He doesn’t really have trade value. He is highly paid RB that can’t stay healthy. RB is the easiest position to solve on the cheap.
  7. Oh we mayne. That pass. It’s why Sam Darnold is horrible. It’s why the OL isn’t the cause of him being horrible. He has always done that. He always will. Just horrific. but yeah, Chuba is off to a nice start. But there is a big gap between CMC and Chuba as players. Big gap between RBs isn’t a drastic as QB and we shouldn’t be paying for that difference.
  8. Most recent Super Bowl Champs (minus the Patriots) Bucs - coach prior to the SB winning coach lasted 2 years KC - coach prior to the Super Bowl winning coach lasted 1 year Philly - coach prior lasted 1 year Denver - coach prior lasted 1 year Seattle - coach prior lasted 1 year Its not just the Browns that part from coaches that don’t work. You part with coaches that don’t work. You stick with coaches that give you a reason to….until they don’t. Not For Long league applies to coaches too
  9. Seattle fired Jim Mora after one year (5 year deal) and a mini dynasty was born after that. So your argument is the Bucs should of shown more patience with Greg Schiano and company? lol. Why? He was a train wreck. They kept moving on from bad people…..and now will be contending at least for back to back Super Bowl rings.
  10. I mean the Cam plan isn’t revisionist history. First thing he did was draft a talented QB and at least offensively….it was about building something that just hasn’t been seen. Ron had that. As I said earlier, think of it however you want. Lot thought it was a poor plan by year two but it was a something to point to. which Rhule doesn’t have.
  11. well, the zone read wasn’t invented by Auburn. Ron was the first to legitimize it. I think he gets at least some credit for that. And the gamble on Cam. Which it was. Cal was only viewed as the #1 player in the draft once Ron made it clear he likely was going to take that gamble IMO.
  12. Generally teams show patience with guys that give them a reason to show it. So the Bucs should of stayed with Greg Schiano….just because. and in the world of just coaches and general, Jim Mora had a 5 year deal with Seattle. They fired him rightfully after one season…. that worked out pretty well for Seattle. If someone clearly isn’t the guy? Yeah, you should just move on.
  13. Ron had a plan though. Regardless of what you think of it. He drafted a uber talented QB. It was clear he was in the process of building something AND was doing something the league really hadn’t seen on O. There were definitely year 2 struggles but there at least was a clear plan. Develop Newton. Bring the RPO zone read to the NFL and make it work. Rhule just looks lost.
  14. Plenty of teams have moved on from coaches after two years…. you could start with looking at the list of college HCs that for NFL jobs.
  15. well Rhule says Sam is starting next week.
  16. DJ has 73 yards today and last week. If a WR had 73 yards a game…they would have a 1200+ yard season. DJ is productive. He doesn’t have wow games like Chase did today….because he doesn’t play with a good QB.
  17. he wasn’t wildly inaccurate in his one prepped start. He looked different last year in his start vs being thrown out in pass only football. and no one is arguing he will be Joe Montana or work his way into being anything of substance. It’s only an argument that if they prep him the O will move more than what Sam is now doing with it. Which is Clausen level bad offense essentially the last 3 games minus 1 quarter vs Minny.
  18. We have seen year twos before. This rebuild isn’t on track.
  19. the 2010 team itself wasn’t that bad. QB was just beyond horrific. Can’t win in the NFL with horrific QB play. It implodes everything. Gross, Wharton, Kalil on the OL? Stewart, Williams, Goodson in the backfield? prime 89? prime Beason on D. Big Money was earning his future contract. Clausen was so bad a decent team became the worst in the NFL. It’s how impactful a bad QB is.
  20. It’s on I called a fake punt but they checked out of it Rhule.
  21. The window from when the last season ended to when this one started. He lost me there. I had issues before that but that is where he lost me. He isn’t building anything here. Tepper drastically over-promoted him by giving him this job. I thought Fox and Rivera were outdated for the present day NFL. But they were textbook football guys. On the field and the locker room.
  22. Yeah, if we ignore the fact he was a prev. Richardson was a football guy. It was more than an investment and toy for Richardson.
  23. Hard to say. Contract says you would think he would get more time. unless he is 100% different behind closed doors. He doesn’t inspire much confidence. At least not to me. If things keep going south at the current trajectory…..it will be really hard to keep Rhule I think. I mean we aren’t beating Philly and the Giants. Hard to see us beating anyone right now. Granted CMC will be back but who even knows if he can stay on the field at this point. I’m not a Rhule fan so I know I look at him with my own bias…but I think he has come off really poorly since camp. I’m now thinking 5 wins is what we are looking at. That’s gonna be a tough sell to the masses.
  24. while the Giants had 5 or less points, we had 4 drives. 3rd and 3 - incomplete pass and punted INT 3rd and 2 - incomplete pass and punted 3rd and 2 - incomplete pass and punted then the Giants started scoring every drive to finish the game.
  25. Score at half 5-3 3 rush attempts in the 2nd half by a RB Nearly all our traditional rushing yards were on the first drive of the game. Commitment.
