  1. 20th ranked passing D, 30th ranked rushing D... Both pretty bad We're 10th and 23rd ranked for context, given how much people poo on our passing D lol.
  2. Bryce had a mediocre game overall but showed resilience in the end. Unfortunately you need more than resilience to win consistently in the NFL and he just doesn't have that. Put D gave up 10 points outside of turnovers...
  3. I'd agree he showed resilience and leadership but this isn't really a game to celebrate from your third year starter as evidence of anything other than not losing to a bad team.
  4. Bryce Young on the final drive... https://x.com/BricksCenter/status/1974905504137887810?t=DwSA7gvk6DHxSEVxntzIMg&s=19
  5. Good lord dude... Bryce didn't lose us the game in the end after spotting the Dolphins some points ... He didn't win us that game ...
  6. Didn't fold under pressure and give the game away
  7. This draft class looks so promising and even Legette stepped up. Couldn't ask for more on offense realistically... Now D...
  8. I remember some people were talking bad about Dowdle... He's really showing up
  9. Plenty of time, a win is still in reach... Time to show us what you have Bryce
  10. 1 - that's exactly why I said he's a complication... He is causing symptoms... He's not just a symptom. 2 - People keep saying this about Darnold and it isn't entirely accurate. He was pretty good here in the 2nd half of 2022... He washed out because he still isn't a franchises answer at QB, even after an incredible season in Minneapolis. He's ultimately nobody's guy unless they can't do better... And this is coming from a bit fan of Darnold...
  11. He's not a symptom, he doesn't go away if you get rid of Tepper and not would his play miraculously become worth a first overall pick. He's more like a complication from a disease that requires it's own treatment.
  12. I mean I don't entirely agree with this. Our first drives - where prep is the most clear - are usually good. And we frequently get to mid field. But once the field tightens and the offense has to operate in tighter windows, we can't get passed completed and opponents can defend our run and pass game by just stacking people near the LoS ... I don't know ... Last year we had effectiveness at intermediate depth throws we're not having this year.
  13. I don't think Mac Jones has a stronger arm, just better footwork.
  14. I do think overall 2011 had more talent but that is mainly due to the non-OL offensive personnel's and the overall depth on D being a little better (not saying much). But it isn't some HUGE gap (outside the elephant in the room lol). This team could turn it around with a few (albeit major) changes and acquisitions.
  15. I think he'd likely look better. But remember last year when Thielen and Coker, and even JT, has us thinking they had potential? XL was dropping easy balls even then.
  16. Which of our WRs was that true of? Drafting WR busts is a Panthers tradition long before Bryce Young and will continue past him.
  17. I don't think Tpper is that diabolical. This is just real life Madden to him and he happens to suck worse than most of us.
  18. I suspect we'll never know exactly what's going on at BoA but man do I wish that we could get a tell-all of the last few years. I don't care about Rhule but from Reich onward...
  19. I think it's easy to get pulled into the mud as it were by some of these discussions. We're all frustrated. And it's resulted in some dumb trolling from a bunch of us (from you as well, though it seems that's been a relatively new occurrence the last bit). I am hoping that a few wins or at least more complete team play will calm things but who knows when that comes... At this point, most of us know it isn't really just a single person. But the reality is the QB takes the most heat in losses and gets the most praise in wins when it isn't ridiculously obvious they didn't do much. It's why Darnold was getting some calls for MVP here after his first 3 games, and others wanted to keep him at the end of 22 despite how overall painful his time here had been. But still. The entire team looks rough and it's exposed how little control Canales seems to have. I appreciate the all-22 analysis and breakdown. Sometimes it's hard to have discussions around it because so often it's just... Things going wrong everywhere. But I enjoy the read all the same.
  20. I do like Stefanski overall, but I just think you're seeing this with some red (or orange, hah) colored glasses. The Browns have talent on defense at least, but as to being competitive - again, they have a larger point differential than the Panthers since the start of 2024, although not by much (I think like a touchdowns worth, maybe less, owed to our historically bad D last year). I am not sure what getting the players ready to play means, given that they objectively have a more talented defensive roster than we have, and at least last year had IMO a more talented offensive roster (or at least equivalent, though our OL was better), and despite that they are getting similarly spanked (8 losses in 2023 by more than 3 scores vs 7 or so for the Panthers). When I watch the Browns, I've generally seen an undisciplined team that has way more talent than they play to. I don't think that is Stefanski's fault... Seems like an organizational issue... But then, it isn't fair for me to judge Canales just yet.
