No choking for Jeremiah Smith lol

No clue... Maybe they figure they won't get 2 two point conversions?
-
All that and it's still 16 points...

23-10. https://www.espn.com/college-football/playoff-bracket

Honestly I was where you were before the playoffs.. but... To get here, they beat Georgia and PSU. Not to mention Indiana. And while PSU was close the other games weren't really so much.

...scam? Man have you watched the bowl games and other CFP games? Maybe Oregon and Texas were better but ND showed it belonged...
-
Is it not publicly known how much these programs spend on their rosters?
-
Crazier things have happened but it seems unlikely ND can come back from this...

Rasul Douglas seals the game, haha.

Just one timeout.

Wow... That drop O.o No way to blame this loss on Lamar...

The turnovers were killer. That one flea flicker or whatever it was .. back breaking. Too cute imo.

Whenever a QB is a threat to run it in in the red zone it makes it a lot harder to defend. Bryce is elusive and surprisingly fast, and I think he's adjusting to NFL defenders speed. I'm not too worried personally about long term sustainability because he doesn't have hardly any designed runs - his scrambles are just that. It's kind of crazy he has as many rushing TDs as he did. His total 2024 TDs at 21 is the most by a Panthers QB since Cam in 2018, and he did that in 12 starts.

Coker was 21st in the NFL in y/r and 10th in yards per target - ahead of McConkey and all other rookies (of course volume will tend to drag that down). AT was 17th I think too. I'm excited to see Coker's development. Hopefully he, XL, and Sanders take a big leap this offseason. -

TBF Houston stumbled into their draft picks by needing to trade Watson - they tried very hard not to, he just forced his way out. As to our drafts, it wasn't a home run this year but could still turn out. Last year is looking OK. But when you give up what we did for a draft pick, if that draft pick isn't immediately transcendent, you set the roster back, and while we seem to be drafting role players well we need breakout stars and that hasn't happened. Hopefully Young turns it around sooner than later... -
Lions just shot themselves in the foot

I mean they missed a personal foul on Goff earlier so eh

At least you can't penalize if a defender is clearly easing up etc... just such bullshit to penalize players like that. Mahomes is clearly manipulating refs too (see the sideline slow up to try to draw a late hit penalty). He's an incredible QB and he wins regardless but it really annoys me.
-
Yeah. It's missing the context of his scrambling in the middle of defenders. I don't think it's fair to "slide" like that, and then for defenders that aren't even trying to hit him to barely graze him....
-
Mahomes is so good I'm sure he's winning today regardless. But the penalties, the terrible spots of the ball, etc... it's all just very strange and seems quite one sided.
-
This is bullshit. Especially the second penalty. The defenders both went high and hit each other, and it was after Mahomes just drops mid scramble with defenders around him.
-
I came in liking both teams enough to be happy whomever wins and now I want the Chiefs to lose because these calls are so terrible... And the ball placements are SO suspect lol
-
Good god, someone needs to check these refs bank accounts. This is obscene
-
While he's nothing like Goff, he clearly has some arm strength limitations. However, I think fans overrate arm strength by a poo ton. I don't think Young's arm strength is a problem for the offense. What a lot of fans don't realize is how much of "arm strength" they care about - velocity and distance - is as much footwork as anything.
