  1. Warheel doesn't think black people are qualified for jobs he applies for or leadership positions in a league that's 70% black. That's a personal problem, dude. And no, I'm not gonna search your post history for the conversation where you got passed over for a job a black person got and couldn't handle it
  2. You know what you're implying and you aren't fooling anyone. This is what you do, you don't even think black people who get hired for jobs you apply for is believable. You're still bitter about that, too
  3. Imagine being bitter that people were unsure of Cmc after his rookie season and shoehorning that into this conversation
  4. Yikes again We get it, you don't think black people are smart enough to coach
  5. Funny thing about the Lions, the last time they were respectable was with Jim Caldwell, (they even went 9-7 his last year there which is GREAT for Detroit) then they fired him and replaced with him a worse coach in Matt Patricia, now they're rebuilding AGAIN. WEIRD
  6. Literally everyone else in this thread can admit race is a hurdle for qualified coaches like Eric B, Oldham doesn't wanna reckon with that so he poos my posts acknowledging it and makes up stuff to justify his opinion. It's anyone's guess why he's being so defensive about it, the conversation was going well til he showed up.
  7. You have no way of knowing this seeing as you only have conflicting internet sources to verify this. Plus, your comments about his lack of a resume is utter horseshit. Hit dogs holler.
  8. That's fair, just pointing out racism is ultimately the reason we're having this discussion to begin with while others are trying to divorce race completely from that being a factor in the way the nfl operates when that clearly isn't true. But I digress, I'm happy with Matt Rhule currently here. That's most important
  9. I don't blame Eric from dropping out of the HC market overall bc at this point its a shitshow, Houston isn't a great option, and now instead of addressing real issues with black coaches not getting jobs it all reeks of tokenism. Maybe it's better to get another ring in KC and wait til next year. Maybe he doesn't interview well and will learn from all this. But race is definitely a factor.
  10. Yeah you can, Scot. You just don't wanna admit it, which is expected.
  11. But actually, you can pin a racial element on it bc black coaches STILL don't get the same opportunities. The Texans at this point are trying to save face with black candidates bc their QB is pissed off. That likely is why Eric B is dropping out, but doesn't change the greater inequality were talking about
  12. Thing is, Bienemy very well could be a trash candidate and his situation borders on farcical right now but it really illustrates a bigger issue, which is lack of opportunity for black coaches. Again, white coaches with lesser resumes and less experience get these types of gigs all the time. It's coincidence that those same opportunities aren't afforded to black coaches when 70% of the league is black? You can't hopscotch around race being a factor here.
  13. Like Bienemy might not be a perfect fit for Houston and migbtve taken himself out of the running bc he sees it as a sideshow but the fact remains black coaches don't get the same opportunities as white coaches like the new guy in Philly, Josh McDaniels, and more recently a guy with no experience like Josh McCown. Inherent bias and racism are the issues here, esp when 70% of the league is black. This isn't a tough pill to swallow.
  14. When a random coach on the Indy staff can get a job outta nowhere when the teams in the SB are full of black assistants, maybe you should just acknowledge the problem and not look around it
  15. Yikes, some of yall are still going out of your way to name something other than racism as the reason these blk coaches aren't getting equal opportunities. Sad to see but typical.
  16. I'd be down. If we miss out on the top qbs, I'd love to trade down, draft Newman in the second, Oline, and secondary. Wouldn't be ideal but when life gives you lemons. Plus, if next year we bomb totally and pick at the top of the draft for whatever reason you can justify taking another QB who you might view as better and trading Newman. Just that valuable a position.
  17. Prefer Trey Smith from Tennessee but Dickerson might fall to the late rounds bc of all those injuries, we have room on this roster for multiple O Line draft picks. Def would take a flyer on him, he's got talent.
  18. This is also the perfect draft to find QB and O Lineman depth. 6 OTs might go in the first round and Guard is also strong and a position that you find starters in every round. Scott picked a great spot for his philosophy.
  19. Some of guys just developed a negative opinion of Curtis due to the 2019 season and are too stubborn to adjust
  20. Re Curtis Samuel, have none of you ever heard of a one year deal? Especially considering Brady is still here and salary cap uncertainty league wide, one year deals might be common this off-season. Nothing Scott said indicates what they're gonna do with Curtis, way to jump to conclusions by shoehorning your own expectations into something a guy didn't say lol
