  1. Checked the Panthers all-time list- Robert McClain has to be the answer. Dang I missed that one.

He had a long career for 7th and that's the key to the whole game.

I think up unto last year both Will Montgomery and Robert McClain were still playing. Robert even had had a try out like 10 years later for the Panthers. I finally remeber his name and seeing he played for like 6 teams, but the fact he was still playing.

Almost had the 4 for 4!!!

The best NFL draft pick ever at every slot from No. 1 to 262 - ESPN

ESPN just put out a list.  4 Panthers made the list.   3 are DBs.   1 is OL.  Unlimited pie for the first to guess 3 out of the 4 WITHOUT cheating!  I will know if you cheated because you will have gotten it right.

No cheat, didn't even scroll past your post.

I got two clear ones- Captain Munnerlyn and Josh Norman

the next two are my best guesses

MIke Minter to round out the DBs

    Ryan Kalil as the OLman

  3. One of the all-timers for the career he had.

Honestly I big part of my wanting him, I see more. He looked bored at times or like no one was giving him him enough challenge. The simple solution is the NFL will give you that "more" you are looking for... He's already got a taste with Horn and MJ...

  4. Another Guard??

Small ball was just a meme right?????

Again can anyone confirm Kon had more than 2 dunks for the season?? I watched more highlights and saw lots of layups. Did see one thunder dunk tho...

Jeff just needs to finish this off-season with a guard package trade for a PF/C. Call Portland, that's a start!

Laughs at all who bash XL.

He was as I expected him to be on his ROOKIE year.

He is the one in the receiving room who stands the most to gain with the new additions on offense.

But, dont let me stop y'all from doing what you're doing.

XL treatment is in the top 5 What The Fuccks for the the huddle. It just happens that the 32nd team and 33rd team GMs knew each other very well. Panthers viewed the 5th year option as being worth a late 6th and a trade was made to make XL a 1st rounder.

He had injuries in OTAs, mini camp and TC. Like others had more injuries in season and just kept playing. Half the season was bad BY and dalton. He still had 500 yds, 5 TDs, and like 45 recs.

Just super weird the treatment. BTW people love to focus on the bad plays, but there was only one WR that caught a TD on the AP NFL Defensive Player of the Year, can you guess who that was??

By many accounts the Pats wanted XL badly and had to select Polk instead, there's strong rumors that Polk is either going to be cut or traded for a 2078 7th rounder. Panthers could have easily been in this situation if not for the Bills allowing the trade up. It pays to have friends....

I feel XL will force some fans to plates of raccoon as he develops. (please stay healthy)

100%. I get that being the only latino HC in the league comes with social pressure to set a good example, but I've always felt that Ron's respectability BS did the team a disservice from his stoicism on field to the tie incident to not having much to say about the protests in Charlotte. I think it's a big reason why Jerry Richardson liked Ron.

Im very similar to Ron in being a company/league man. But that ends after the third head hit, I would have lost my religion. Then after I got kicked out of the game, Id 100% be dropping nukes in the after-game presser. fug you fine me whatever, I am going to protect my QB and since logic and reason isn't being used, I can be the bad guy.

The replays showed clear evidence, Id feel no shame in cussing out a crew of chicken poo refs. In fact Id tell the video staff to play infractions on a split screen during my press conference.

  7. Honestly the 2024 draft class(minus brooks).

All are in line to be starters, expect crumedy who's fighting for a 53.

Still that class was looking terrible, is now looking like 4 starters and maybe 1 depth. Anytime you draft 2 starters and a key depth piece its a good draft. 4 starters are rare and that's with brooks who could have made 5 starters if not for awful luck.

That draft also helped land starter Michael Jackson in a round about way, big bonus..

I think that Cam rubbed some refs the wrong way, but I had forgotten this stuff. Should not matter.  I remember being furious with Rivera. I personally think Rivera was the most overrated coach in Panther history--he had Cam, weapons, a great defense--and never had back-to-back winning seasons.  As a Coordinator in San Diego with Norv Turner (I believe) I recall a season when they were #1 on D and #1 on Offense and still struggled to make the playoffs.

Refs had it out for Cam after that. ED was chief king poo among the refs, they had to defend their boy...

@Basbear…definitely respect your opinion but Kon is baby Bird.  He is way better than people think and actually has crazy upside.  He does many things good but he is a worker and will get better.  One of the most fundamentally sound players to come out in a while.  Athletic ability isn’t everything

I could be waaaaaaay off about Kon. I do fault myself into, to borrow a NFL phrase heavily "RAS" nerd on players, too much. There are PLENTY of athletic freak shows that are playing overseas(or Amazon delivery) cause they never figured out NBA ball. I can easily miss seeing the talent. Plus did he only have 2 dunks on the season??(is that for real??) I didn't watch over a few hours of duke, but not one point did I think "That Kon guy is a top 4 pick in the upcoming draft".

IMO I still foresee Ball bringing the ball up, doing his weak isolation game and never even looking for Kon. That's his best trait according to everyone, shooting right? I do not see ball, bridges, miller or even williams making the extra pass to Kon for him to shoot a 3.

Then defense-wise, Im not ready to type the amount of questions I foresee in his ability for guarding NBA SGs or bench SFs for that matter. Not that NBA players care to defend, but still.....

I just feel he's a bad fit for the current hornets, trades are taking place tho... Liam to me is a decent comp for Kon and he fell some, but was a 29 overall pick. Still around 13-21 was the good solid range for Liam and I thought the same for Kon.

This is just a classic case of I need to see it. It add to this, Kon is like garlic. Ball is like sugar and Miller is like flour. Mix it together and chef Lee is not going to get me to eat that dish.....

Honestly I don't know why Im this vocal about Kon. In past years I would be patience and not post and see what the kid has. The other side, insert classic white boy terms here- _____, ______, _______< etc >. Hornets do desperately need them. His crafty back door cuts, his willingness to stay a extra 2 hours to refine lees plays, keep playing with bruised limbs. I heard from many reports he's mentally tough and hornets by all gods need that. God they are such pussys.

I hope Im wrong and if so, I will give Kon his just props.

If it ever got out that the outcomes of games were rigged, the NFL would lose fans by the millions. I do not see the risk being worth the reward.  If it were rigged, a lot of people would know and someone would come forward with the proof.  Just a conspiracy theory...However, that is not to say the refs don't have biases.  If you felt robbed in Super Bowl 50, watch Remmers again.  I could have sacked Cam against him with my spinning aerial swim move (copyrighted).

Part of the conspiracy about remmers was they did give help in play calls, according to Darin Gantt. Just for whatever reason the players missed the play call numerous times. I mean until that point, they never had to shift protection that whole season. They hadn't practiced it either.

My biggest beef with the whole Cam era was Ron Rivera never blew a fuse by cussing out the refs or go on a epic rant that cost him 100,000 calling out the hypocrisy with player safety when defenders are head hunting my QB. I know he sent in plays and had contact with league officials, it didn't stop the blatant behavior of scrambling Cams brain when the league had great focus on protecting QBs. The nice guy routine didn't wrong RON and you just didn't want to upset the NFL by going off during and after games.

I do know this as well, after Cam told the reporters " Youre not old enough for that call ". The refs had each others back worse than the cops or married folks, from that point on it was open season. Such petty BS should never happen in a professional league.

What a pathetic excuse for an NBA team. The league has made this franchise a punch line for late night TV jokes if they even remember the team exists. I GREW UP IN CHARLOTTE and followed the team in the good years and even I still forget the Hornets still exist sometimes. The truth is there is no reason for this team to exist. Delete franchise and follow college basketball.

Incoming rant-, clouds, gold, and such.....

After time has passed along with the sexton trade, maybe there is something to this "culture". I know this, the current crew minus a player here and there, is bitach made. Ball is soft and goofy. It's like a virus has taken over and no one wants to get healthy.

That said, I still maintain you can not pick Matt Carroll errrrra Kon Knueppel at 4th overall. I don't even think you can pick him in the top 10 or lottery for that matter. Still I spent too time and more than few reputable draft "gurus" had him at 3rd overall. Many had him in the 4-6 range. I still don't see how, but I have been wrong before. Just not to bag on him, he's a "role" player and 4th overall is not the time or place for that type of player.

In order for Kon to be successful, you have to run the system for him....... You are telling me Ball, Bridges, Miller and other pros are going to let a least athletic guy smart his way into shooting the ball??? I need to witness how this plays out... I have huge doubts.

Enough bitachin, Im starting to turn into hornet player. Some good is for a 29 overall pick Liam McNeely is what I have Kon comp as. The guys at CBS loved him and the whole hornets draft. So did many others.

Yea instant draft reactions are _________ . I was not a James fan, but Kalkbrenner fits in with tough culture with high IQ. I do think James can D up tho....

Maybe they can tougher up those baby wipe soft hornet players. I say let the 2nd and 3rd units grid out those bitaches just cashing checks.

Sexton is a legit tough guy willing to drive and take punishment without going on IR like a weakling....

I hate that I've been given hope.

Ive always liked Stafford and thought he drew a poo hand going to Detroit but Id say that SB season was the aberration.

But nitpicking aside - I just want the team to be on the playoff projection in November.  After what weve been through, Ill take a season or two of not being irrelevant in early November.

Hes been an elite passer his entire career, just on a poo det org.  Would always be a "what if" if he actually came here.

I dont recall the timeline but Stafford seems like the proto type qb that Joe Brady wanted to work with.  A gunslinger that took chances unlike Teddy.

I believe Stanford is the highest all-time player in NFL salary terms. He was the last year of those crazy rookie contract, so day one he was a top 5 guy. Lions paid him well after the deal and so have the rams. He's been weeeeeellllllllllllllllll compensated for playing in Detroit.

I really like David Moore. He's a reliable WR. Smart, doesn't drop the ball and he's where he's supposed to be. Now, he ain't gonna route up a DB. He ain't gonna 50/50 ball a DB. He ain't gonna run by a DB either. But he runs a good enough route and catches the ball - definitely an NFL average WR. Every team could use a David Moore.

Now if this receiving group can force Dan and Dave to let him go, then this team has come a long way since 2023. A LONG way. But I will say that Horn's speed is a big deal. They don't really have another guy with speed and quickness to blow the top off the defense and make guys miss in space after the catch, though he is still a rookie and hasn't done it in the NFL. If he and Renfrow push Moore out, then we might actually have something gents. Plus I see Renfrow as Thielen's replacement in 2026. I just don't think Coker is the reliable, move the chains guy like Thielen. Could be wrong.

Moore, Frankly is insurance. Its what he should be at this stage of his surprising long UDFA career. If the evil injury monster grabs one of the top guys, Moore can help with filling in. If Moore doesn't make this team with knowing he is a system guy, that's a great sign. Plus like was posted above, he can play on the PS.

People have been counting out Moore every year, including myself(I recall his 1st panther run...). He just keeps cashing NFL checks while the new wave of rookie WRs figure it out.... I heard he became one of those super serious healthy types with his body at this stage too. I mean, horn was the 208th player picked, thats UDFA zip code......horn just sold Dan the GM on his "Miami" mindset. Horn already had a hamstring deal and missed valuable reps, Moore could be the guy on the roster and they risk horn to PS.

I heard a sort-a crazy idea with Coker as well- let him transition to a hybrid TE/WR given the lack of TE with tremble hurting. I mean....... its nice to have a "deep" WR for the first time in like ever to come up with this idea.....

Vegas only has 5 teams with a lower over/under than the Panthers in 2025.

Browns, Saints, Jets, Titans and Giants.  Then us.

I hate how accurate Vegas always is.

I agree with their assessment, nearly to a T.

I will pass this 22K golden nugget for you gambling freaks that like long shots. I think Cards shock the league this year and upset lots of hopes.
