  1. I was telling him to stop spamming Young hype like you did with Strong, Corral, Levis, and now Stroud. I prefer Stroud but can acknowledge both are solid choices.
  2. He is trying to get the high score and all these QB prospects keep interrupting him.
  3. Yeah I think people are confusing the pick 9 debate of AR or Levis at the time. Plus I'm sure they are making assumptions based on your user name.
  4. @TheCasillasyou gonna start a Levis Pro Day thread?? Or should we just use this?
  5. Yep it's similar to the Bears OL having a good overall PFF rating, but half of their starting OL was bottom of the league in PFF rating???
  6. Agreed. Our staff should have the best insight of what each QB can be at the next level. It's a good thing the Huddle isn't making the pick and the professionals are. I am actually very confident in our staff this year so whoever they pick I will be all in.
  7. I think the concern for some is that it’s a flaw that can’t be corrected and could lead to a short (no pun intended) career. That can be a tough sell for the top overall pick. Stroud has several flaws, but the hope is that our new staff can correct them to a degree. Again I will be excited if we get Young and if he holds up he should be great!
  8. I don’t think it’s a death blow. I just think he puts him back down to Stroud’s level as a prospect. Which is still a great one! It’s simply a flaw that shouldn’t be completely ignored.
  9. The only issue I see with that is the whole offense that gets the ball out fast comment. It’s true that how smaller QBs like Brees protect themselves, but that takes away one of Young’s best attributes in his ability to extend plays. Stroud actually fits that style of offense better, but a QB with Young’s size should be playing that style in the NFL. It’s a back and forth conversation because it’s a strong argument for both players.
  10. Young is smallish? He is going to be the smallest starting QB in the NFL. Look if a player is running around playing Mahomes style football taking hits while extending plays and is fine his first year but gets injured his second year it is more of a concern than a pocket passer getting injured his first year and playing through all his games his second. Call it nitpicking but that is what you should do with the possible top pick. This is the problem with a couple of these die hard Young people. They refuse to accept durability is a concern with his size. People were claiming he never got hurt, I said that’s not true and now it’s dragging out to this. Why do you think Young was the only QB not go throw at the combine after weighing over 200 pounds and a month later decided to throw but not weigh in. HE knows it’s a concern and wants to hide it to a degree. It’s why Young isn’t a clear top choice. He checks all the other boxes, but size/durability is a concern and even HE knows it.
  11. I think coaching staff can have a lot to do with it. Lawrence with Meyer vs Pederson. Some elite ones can win in spite of their staff (like Cam), but it definitely helps and we have a good one. Our team is also built for a rookie QB right now. I think several of them are capable of finding success in Carolina.
  12. It’s getting obsessive @rippadonnlevel spamming and nonsense. I tried showing him flaws in his logic by quoting himself back to him and he thought his own quote was stupid. So that’s where he is at now….
  13. It’s simply telling the people that he handled playing in the SEC without any injuries that’s wrong. I mean it’s just a simple statement. He actually got injured…. https://www.on3.com/college/alabama-crimson-tide/news/espn-reveals-incredible-details-about-bryce-young-shoulder-recovery-medical-machines-stim-unit/ The man is tough as hell because it sounds like it limited him through several games. Like you said injuries happen, but people can’t just claim they didn’t. Yes Stroud was injured two years ago but people are not saying he never was and he lasted the whole season this past season. One could argue Young’s being more recent was more wear and tear.
  14. When I use your quotes and you think it’s dumb….
  15. The poster literally just posted GMs pick players as a reason for Fitt to make the pick. Regardless it seems odd to hire a former QB offensive minded HC, tell him he will have a “CEO” type of position and not let him pick his QB. I’m not convinced Stroud is Reich’s guy, but I imagine his opinion should carry the most weight.
  16. “GMs pick players & coaches coach them. That’s the way it is in most organizations from NFL, to NBA etc” According to you
  17. So Fitt picked Teddy, Darnold, Corral, and Baker and you are siding with him and Tepp (the man who hired Rhule) over Reich (great offensive coach and former QB) and our QB coach??
  18. Oh I agree he needs to let the football guys make football decisions, but that is what he did with Rhule. At the end of the day if he doesn’t trust his GM and HC to make the right call, he hired the wrong people which I don’t think is the case.
  19. If he can bulk up that big and keep his speed and quickness it will go a long way to lengthen his career. If his actually playing weight is 185, 30 pounds is a lot to add to a 5’10 thin frame though.
  20. There were people saying Young played against SEC defenses without getting injured so he will be fine in the NFL. It was just misinformation as he was injured this season and missed a game.
  21. I think those are Rhule QBs. Tepper wanted Watson and liked Fields.
  22. And picking up his 5th year option before the draft….
