Whoever we draft at 1 is more than likely starting week one. Dalton is our backup who can come in and manage a game or two if our starter goes down. It’s a logical not expensive option for a backup.

Agreed, but it’s hard to tell until we see the whole trade package. Regardless I think we stay at 1 (maybe 2) and take Stroud/Young.

I think AR or Levis would be in a scenario where we trade down a couple spots.

I'm ok with any of the top 4. I prefer Stroud, but I work in accounting and have zero scouting experience. I'm more excited about what this staff can do with any young talented QB.

Yeah I think Stroud is better than Young in the pocket and Young is better than Stroud when a play breaks down. I just lean Stroud because of the size concerns. Both look to be great choices though.

I will say this. Our staff is doing one hell of a job of mudding up the waters. Vegas is jumping back and forth about who the top pick will be. Maybe Houston will bite and trade up for our pick if they are really set on a certain player??

You lost me at Stroud compared to Darnold? If I remember correctly Darnold impressed everyone on his pro day absolutely slinging it in the rain. Darnold's tape had nothing on Stroud's. Young and Baker is an absolute miss as well. Young might be the opposite of Baker, they both are just short?

That part is what is making me think it isn't Young. You could make a case for the other 3 after the combine. Honestly it looked like Stroud was the best pure passer (which I feel is what Reich wants) and AR of course stole the show. The fact that the trade happened so quickly after the combine makes me think Stroud or maybe AR, unless they just really like Bryce Young's interviews?

What’s making you lean Young? I would be ok with the pick, just curious as to what you are seeing/reading that makes you think that?
