I watched Darnold make his worst reads when he had the most time. The guy can’t read defenses.

OR we can just draft a QB and develop one. We had one sitting at 8, but were too damn confident in Sam Darnold…

I’m not even mad at giving Darnold a chance. I didn’t agree with it, but sure I get he was cheap with some potential. Not having a plan B is my issue. Going all in on Darnold was a terrible mistake…

If they were open Darnold wouldn’t have thrown the ball to them anyway…

He didn’t have his legs set. The freaking commentators are talking about how his form led to that bad throw. His QB coach is immediately in his ear telling him about it. That was 100% on Sam.

Was that a drop? I guess Bradberry did drop it and recover….

Surrounded by three people while the damn TE is wide open? Let’s throw into triple coverage and not look off the target. Logan Ryan was there as the ball was arriving because Sam was staring him down.

It actually does not. Overthrowing and underthrowing targets is just him being out of sync or not having his feet set. All the sites I see are high on his arm stating he can make all the throws. Learning the read the whole field would be his weakness. That’s concerning because of what we have in Darnold.

If height is his only weakness these QBs make your argument invalid. He is the same height as Baker with more weight on him. Taller than Brees, Russ, Murray, one inch shorter than Lamar with 10 more pounds, and one inch shorter than Aaron Rodgers. So it’s a dumb argument.

Plus Russ Wilson and Drew Brees….

I don’t put much weight into their rookie years. Some of the greats looked bad their rookie years. IMO rookie QBs shouldn’t start (at least not the first half of the season). Mac Jones has already looked decent and Fields seems to be getting better each week. So these rookies are projecting upward as they should and our QB has been spiraling downward… I don’t think they knew what they were doing.

They are going to pay or tag Baker. QBs are just to hard to find. Just ask the Panthers…

What QBs do you like in the draft? I’m a bit of a draftaholic…

The college argument is dumb. Especially with different coaches/systems. Texas Tech never produced a legitimate QB, thank God we didn’t take a risk on Patrick Mahomes right? LSU before Burrow? GTFO with that nonsense.
