Brissett is a smart QB who typically doesn’t make many mistakes. We will need to have Tremble/Ricci help Icky with Garrett and he will still probably get a couple sacks. If we don’t turn the ball over and Baker gets in sync we win this game. I think Brown steps up and our new LBs help this run defense against a strong running offense. I’m concerned if it’s close that Rhule will do something dumb like punt it will a little time left to trust our defense to get a 3 and out.

Last year’s stats seem misleading because the opponents were constantly working with a short fields due to the turnovers and 3 and outs by our offense. If our offense makes a jump it’s going to help our defenses play better, rested football. I think our LB upgrade is getting overlooked. The guys we signed Wilson and Littleton aren’t great, but are solid upgrades from last year’s crew. Luvu is playing great, Shaq is solid, and Smith has the tools to grow into the role as the season progresses. Woods was also a solid upgrade. He allows Chinn to play more of the SS role and make his tackles almost like a Buffalo/LB/Safety hybrid depending on what scheme we are running. The only downgrade I see is a pass rusher to replace Reddick. Reddick was a great pass rusher, but having him on the field with Burns was a run defense liability. YGM should be better at stopping the run and Barno has flashed as a pass rusher this preseason. Our schedule is tougher so it may not look that way, but I think our defense is actually better than last year’s.

Rhule didn’t seemed too concerned about it. With all the smart phones out there I’d be more worried it was recorded and we just openly lied about it than him actually saying it.

Let's be honest, if he said it he would have owned it. He could have spun it off fine with "It's nothing personal against the Browns, I am a competitor and want to dominate every team I play. That's the approach I take to every game." Something to that affect, but I can't imagine someone with his personality not owning what they said...

If he has us winning I obviously don’t mind him staying. The chances of him doing that seem low given his history.

Let’s everyone not forget Rhule beat the Saints last year with Sam Darnold. I don’t care if they were missing coaches that’s the most embarrassing poo I’ve seen. All bragging rights are revoked from the Saints because the lethal combo of RHULE and DARNOLD beat them…

Looks like big boy Trevor Penning is missing a chunk of his rookie season with turf toe. Now it’s Winston with no Peyton and no LT. This should make for a fun season…

His best chance is for Baker to light it up and get an extension. Keeps the staff that drafted him in place and he stays on as a cheap backup.

Oh I’m not comparing his overall skill to Burrow. Just stating these young QBs have to learn to protect themselves at this level. I think Howell has potential to be a solid starter.

Love the competitiveness, but it’s also a preseason game. I remember one of the first things Aaron Rodgers said to Burrow after their game was about learning to slide.

He is tough, but needs to be careful. Sometimes it’s ok to take the sack.

Yeah... They did keep Lockett and Metcalf plus Cross looks to be a good LT. If a young QB can catch on quickly they can get competitive pretty quick in a year or two. All that cap money saved on a rookie QB can build a nice team as well.

Thank you! Every play you see players yelling at each other. It's just part of the game. These guys are so sensitive that it's going to set them off to hear Baker wants to crush them when he plays them. They already know this...
