I would agree if it were a garbage-time interception, but you asolutely can count it because it effectively ended a drive that could have resulted in game-winning points; if they had scored, you'd be adding the drive to your list of scoring drives. And offenses have been going up and down the field to some extent all season - they just didn't get TDs like the Patriots did. The Patriots are arguably the best competition that Carolina has faced all year and this is a reasonable outcome. As for Miami, we would expect Carolina to perform but it's really an unkown after the last 2 week. They certainly wouldn't be the first team to suffer a letdown after riding an emotional high.

I don't believe Carolina has ever defeated Miami in the regular season at all.

To the folks complaining about the defense "not getting off the field on third down", while I agree 100% about the missed tackles and disappearing rush please remember that they had like 7 drives all game, 1 which ended in a punt and two in turnovers. Carolina's offense did pretty much the exact same thing to them except without the turnovers. This is what happens when talented teams featuring both good offenses and good defenses play each other.

Could easily have been another blowout if thenoffense had gotten out of their own way. The defense was absolutely incredible today.
