  1. Running a wrong route is something I expect to hear a rookie or second year player do. Not a running back that's in his fifth year in the NFL... It sucks, but we just need to cut our losses now. The dude should be third string running back and really has no reason being on the field unless there's an injury to Chuba or blackshear
  2. Ummmm..... Have you seen this team?? Should be wins don't exist for us.
  3. While neither are elite, we are one week into the season... I would argue a fair amount of our wins/close losses in the playoffs last year were thanks to our Gs. Let's wait until we are a couple months in to decide. While I would love an elite G, they aren't going to be traded away unless they have an awful contract And our D (TDA/orlov) have done them no favors.
  4. I wonder if TMJ could even fetch a washing machine in a trade ala Semi Pro
  5. Pretty sure we are at the point they need to pay us to buy/wear Panthers gear...
  6. It's pretty comical how terrible the NFC South is. I assume all four teams will finish below .500
  7. The role of just being a walking corpse on the field?
  8. The jammie Robinson pick being a bust isn't a big deal - most players taken in the fifth round and later are special teams players at best. The DJ Johnson pick was just awful though and knew that pick was a bust as soon as his name was called
  9. An owner taking action is one thing. An owner that wants 100% control of all decisions on a team and pretty much just hires people to be figureheads and scapegoats is another. Honestly, I think any halfway decent coach is staying far the fug away from us as long as Tepper is our owner - and I can't blame them for that. Tepper has proven to be a clueless moron in terms of running an NFL franchise.
  10. When you lose half of your defensive starters and you had no defensive depth to begin with, it makes sense. The defense looked pretty good prior to the Lions game (outside of the Seahawks game). Not to mention I feel like we have had about 8-10 turnovers which have given the other team a TD or the ball inside our 20 yard line. Also, I would say about 1/3 of our points scored have come in garbage time or against prevent defenses. At the end of the day, both units have been absolutely terrible.
  11. Yeah, Tyreek and Waddle are very good. That being said, they were also being covered by our terrible secondary also. I'm pretty sure a lineman at WR would have 3 yards of separation against our DBs.
  12. Well, that should make our offense better by him not being on the field
  13. Let me guess. We trade the Eagles Chinn for a 7th round pick and he ends up being Superb Owl MVP.
  14. Trading a 2nd rounder for Darnold when literally nobody else, including the Jets, wanted him. Could have probably gotten him for a 3rd day pick if we didn't become desperate for no reason. Then the subsequent trading up for another QB nobody wanted in Matt Corral because we realized Darnold wasn't a franchise QB (because our dumb front office thought he was for some reason) compounded the problem. Fitterer (and everyone else in the front office) just is not able to assess talent. That's literally your most important job in the front office and honestly we just need to clean house of everybody.
  15. It seems like the current NFL has passed Belicheck's style of coaching. Probably not worth it, although he would be a big upgrade over lame duck Frank
  16. It honestly makes me wonder how elite of a job Philly did blocking for him. If this dude can't read that open of a cutback lane, his Oline must have pushed opposing Dlines 10+ yards downfield every play
  17. Didn't watch the game, but wow is that a bad read. Dude runs straight into 3 of his blockers despite a parting of the red sea cutback lane. Not sure if he jukes out that MLB, but it definitely isn't juking anybody with the path he decided to run. We just need to realize it was a bad contract and stop giving him top volume carries. Chuba should be getting 75% of the carries and maybe Sanders can get the other 25%
  18. Awesome. So we have an annoying owner that wants to be controlling of everything the coaches and front office do. Translation: No worthwhile coach or GM is coming anywhere near the Panthers. Can Tepper please just F off
  19. I'm pretty sure if their entire team underwent Covid protocols except for their punter, we would probably still find a way to lose. We don't need to worry about somehow finding a way to upset them - it isn't happening.
  20. Sadly I feel like I have to agree with this. I just don't understand how he can have a game like he did against the Vikings last year where we let him play more free off the edge blitzing, covering the flats, and covering the RB and he absolutely dominates and then decide "F it, lets just make him a deep cover safety and not let him do anything else"... If we did the same to Burns and said "Yeah, we know Burns can be an elite pass rusher, but we need help with coverage so we will just drop you into coverage every play", we would look like morons. I guess if we did that, at least we wouldn't be having to give Burns 30 mill a year to keep him...
  21. I'm not 100% how this stat was measured, but how are these athletes running slow routes??? I understand if they are running incorrect routes or routes that are not crisp (i.e., not coming back to the ball on curls, rounding their routes on in/out routes). But if you are telling me the speedster we signed in the offseason (Chark) is 78th in terms of speed per route, something is very wrong. I also wonder if the fact we rarely have a receiver run a fly route is factoring in to that stat. It's a lot easier to hit top speed running a fly than it is running a curl or out route.
  22. Honestly, we should just trade Chinn away because he deserves way better than this dumpster fire franchise. I promise you he will be very good on another team that has a competent coaching staff and knows how to utilize him.
  23. I haven't paid enough attention to our defensive formations this year, but I have to imagine we have some sort of big nickel package for passing downs (at least I hope so because I'm pretty sure most teams in the NFL do). He is perfect for that formation of being that hybrid linebacker/safety that we can ask to do a lot of different things. Asking him to play safety and be in coverage (especially man) more times than not is precisely how to not use him effectively... The Vikings game from last year where he scored two touchdowns in 15 seconds is how to use him properly
