  1. Wendy's is already generally regarded as the priciest fast food with some of the combo and specialty burgers they have. There is no way this will work well for them. There is no benefit for consumers Raising prices based on how long it takes to fulfill an order at a particular time of day isn't the solution It's like the Wendy's top mgmt team doesn't bother to pop in randomly/unannounced to stores across the country while taking a road trip to see how things really work. Similar to hotel managers not bothering to spend a night in their own hotel rooms to understand which features in a room don't work/broken or aren't cleaned properly
  2. The 2nd largest non-tech position Tepper is in is ENERGY TRANSFER It's distribution yield is 8.75% https://finance.yahoo.com/news/billionaire-david-tepper-invested-nearly-105000380.html
  3. Thanks everyone for your feedback. Appreciate it all. UPDATE: I won the pool by 2 points. Prize: custom team jersey of my choice ("try to keep it under $xxx, please") Background: each week of the season, we were given eight specific games to pick straight-up winners on (four NFL, four College - and when it was an NFL-only week, then it was eight NFL games. So to go along with my MILLS and KEUCHLY, I probably will get a fresh PEPPERS due to HoF worthiness. Although going with a Blue testeverde to alternate with the current white one is also a choice. Hrmmmm I like some of the old school, oft-forgotten names folks threw out. Harper, Gaines, Beason....
  4. Analysis from yesterday's Super Bowl show that all streaming services stink at trying to keep viewers up-to-the-second of the on-field action. Hulu, NFL+, and DirecTV all averaged more than a minute behind live. FUBO was the worst (they also had various tech issues through the game), with some users getting delays up to two minutes behind live The best option? Antenna/over-the-air, with a delay of about 22 seconds behind being live at the game.
  5. Well, those were the largest dividend stocks being reported. He's in other market segments. but yeah, tech seems heavy when looking at the whole portfolio
  6. It was just okay. Worst? No. But not the best Considering ushers catalog, would have expected a slightly different playlist
  7. And totally forgot Jake Delhomme was undrafted and played a SB. So we have that
  8. For those watching via Paramount+ right now, this is for you:
  9. Credit to Brock Purdy from going from the last draft pick to driving the 49ers into the Super Bowl Best example of how a SB QB can come from anywhere in the draft we'll ever see Still have hopes for Bryce at #1.
  10. At least Geico has a variety of commercials during the pre-game. Tired of the bougy pizza hut ad already
  11. Before you cancel: Traitors season 2 has been quite fun. Also, watch The Holdovers
  12. Tepper has 38% of his investments in these five dividend stocks. He probably has others, but these are some pretty large positions. So if you're trying to emulate Teppers money investing strategy so you can eventually buy the team from him, it's a place to start: * Facebook/Meta * Federal express * nvidia * intel * Microsoft https://finance.yahoo.com/news/billionaire-david-tepper-invested-38-193200477.html
  13. If you're looking to represent, but don't need the logo on everything
  14. Current tv contracts expire in 2033. If anything were to happen for a per-team package, that's when it would be reviewed/considered The only way the $ would work would be for all teams to get an even cut of the individual packages. So if the Cowboys have 99 subs and the Chargers just 1 sub, they both would split the rev share amount 50/50. Can't see the cowboys agreeing to that dilution
  15. For those curious: this is not an additional streaming playoff game for the schedule. Amazon is taking the one streaming game that was on Peacock this year as their own next year due to a clause in their contract (per WSJ)
  16. It won’t happen. It’s been covered with quotes from the NFL here in the past as to why
  17. his response is more than we heard from others in similar/nearby roles to similar comments made this past season.
  18. Any suggestions for under-represented names (like Vinny) that'd be appreciated /recognized ?
  19. Yes Lots of comments when worn at TBvCAR games, most often along the lines of "He didn't play for you", "He didn't play for us", and "We hated him here in TB"
  20. Somehow, even with one game left, it appears that I've won the season-long college+pro office football pool. I know, no idea how that happened either. I was coin-flipping with some of the choices. The prize? "the football jersey of the team of your choice". I'm going with a Panthers jersey (duh). But the question is -- which player? Only have three currently: Mills, Kuechly, Testaverde. Somewhere in the stash there's a fake/cheap $10 Peppers one - could probably upgrade that one with the HOF honor. If you have a pick of any Panthers player (not on the current roster - I don't like to pick active players on purpose) -- who would you pick if given a free jersey choice?
  21. 8k looks freakin' amazing when you see it live. but we're a ways off from getting anything close to that on this side of the world. We're having trouble getting to 4k in general. I can see 8k video boards in stadiums for locally-produced stuff, but the replay feeds won't be at that quality for a while
  22. All 4K football broadcasts are upscaled from 1080p. Lots of systems -- like the slo-mo stuff -- are limited to 1080p on the backend Nobody is filming NFL in native 4k
