Maybe 2-3 more. Teddy played pretty well in some of the close losses in the first half of the season. Minnesota game definitely flips to a win with better QB play, maybe the Broncos game. I really don’t think it’s as big of a difference as people think, the Panthers roster is really bad outside of a couple position groups.
Watson put up 33 tds with 7 int on a much less talented offense. Teddy put up 15 td with 11 int. That is a big swing in points.

IMO, ten.
That does not sound like a roster that is "void of talent".
Just saying

Panthers don’t need to be mortgaging the future for any QB right now. Roster is void of talent and any QB is going to suck balls on a garbage team. Maybe in 3-4 years after some talent is stocked and developed the Panthers can trade for a big time QB if they don’t have one already.
Swap out just Teddy from last seasons roster with a Top 5 QB, like Watson, how many wins do we get?

Dak is not worth the contract he is going to get. Definitely not trading to pay him more than he is worth.
Watson or a rookie.

Preciate it, but I meant with him supposedly unfollowing the Panthers and rumors of him being released or traded.
@Verge said Shaq nor Teddy will be with us when the draft arrives. She is usually pretty clued in.

Yeah that's what I thought.
The coaches literally had to tell him that it was his fault, thats how much accountability he has.

Conveniently left off the entire first part of that quote, or perhaps that was the quote from the next day where Teddy put his foot in his mouth.
"I think we’ve just got to be better from top to bottom, from the sideline to executing on the field. It’s one of those deals where I felt like we might have panicked a little bit trying to figure out what play call to call in that situation because it’s like do we run the ball and get stopped, make the clock go down to a minute and 10 or throw the ball and try to score? I think, honestly, we called a great play, we just didn’t have enough time to execute, but it was a play where we wanted to shift Robby [Anderson] to get a good man zone read to see what defense they’re in and because we’re against the clock we just had to rush into it. I think if we would’ve gotten the play call in or we would’ve been able to make a decision sooner on what call to make, I think we see the look, we check to a run play and hopefully we score and make the clock go down."
The part where he said he has to make the throw was after watching film and getting his ass chewed by the coaches. Beforehand he said DJ was somewhat open. This statement further solidifies the point that he is not a NFL starting QB, guys dont get more open than that in the redzone in the NFL.

Just doing a quick google search, i found this article with this quote:
“It’s just a throw that I’ve got to make,” Bridgewater said after reviewing film. “When DJ pops open behind those linebackers, I’ve just got to make that throw.
“When I play well, and my energy is there, this team plays well. I’ve just got to continue to be consistent with the energy I bring on Sunday.”

This has been his attitude from the get, team first. At least from what I've seen and read. But hey, I may have missed something, so can you point to me a link or whatnot of when he threw the team under the bus?
https://www.charlotteobserver.com/sports/nfl/carolina-panthers/article247488380.html
He talks about the play being late, if they play was called down sooner he could have checked into the correct play call which was a run. Basically avoiding how he made a piss poor throw to wide open receiver.
"Bridgewater says he tried to get the ball to Moore, who was able to get somewhat open, but it wasn’t the “right look.”

Watson > Wilson
Wilson is one of the luckiest guys to ever play in the NFL. I dont care for his backyard style, feast or famine play.
He is better than Teddy sure, but he is not a top guy like mahomes and rodgers.

I don't get why most of you poo on Teddy so much. You act like he's DeMarcus Russell or Manziel. You act like he's worse than Jimmy Clausen.
His numbers aside, he's a human being that's a good person, smart and good role model that could mentor a rookie, like qb like Alex Smith did for Mahomes.
But hey, you do you.
His coaching staff and teammates are also human beings. Once he threw them under the bus I have no problem with anybody going in on Teddy. He is less than the great person he is made out to be.

So you acknowledge that you’re not entirely sure if that’s actually Teddy but still engage and take another shot at him?
You’re the first to throw shade when a credentialed reporter does something dumb but you do something like this?
Surely you can’t still be overly confused as to why the Panthers won’t give you credentials, can you?
What I have read of @ellis Material I have enjoyed.
What I have seen Teddy do on and off the football field I have not enjoyed.

@Mr. ScotDo you like to come on every thread and try to piss people off? I mean it gets really old!
He is just telling the Truth. If we get Watson, I dont think CMC is part of the deal just based on contract numbers.
Who knows we maybe willing to eat the dead cap.

Both the Rams and Eagles just took on huge hits so try something else. Falcons could rebuild with a new QB and a few firsts.
The falcons are 11 million over the cap with 39 players signed. They will be trying to just field a team under the cap.
-

They don't even have to do anything like that. Just keep the cap at the current level. Don't take it down 20-30 mil just for one year - only to have it go up by like 50 mil next year.
So who is paying that extra cash? The cap is based off revenue. They cant just pull the money out of thin air.
Should they make the richest owners foot the bill?

I was more pointing to a trade. Plenty of teams would give up multiple firsts for Ryan.
Multiple firsts for Ryan? I don't see it

That reason alone may be why they are looking for a new QB. Getting Ryan off the balance sheet might be a priority.
How? if they cut him they will have 49 million in dead cap.

I cannot believe the NFL is going to lower the cap like that after one down year, which no one on the planet can be held responsible for. Are they not sitting on billions of dollars of cash? Can't they keep the cap normal for one freaking year, so that 75% of the teams in the league don't have to scramble to get under for just one season until it shoots right back up higher than ever before? It just makes no sense to me....
They could do something like borrow from future years to even it out, but if they do that why have a cap at all? Lets bail all these teams out who assumed the cap would continue to rise every year. That way those teams can continue to add a couple of pieces to try to compete for a super bowl and kick the can down the road awhile longer.
-
What other guys from that 2015 squad would you want on the team now?
I don't even want Shaq for what he is costing us.
I don't think any of those guys are out there tearing the league up right now....

My Eagles fan friend is super down with a Chicago trade. What he heard was Foles, Mack, and their first. That seems insane for Wentz and a no brainer. Though could just be standard speculation.
The top offer made for Wentz was two 2nds and a possible future 3rd or 4th by the colts. Anything else out there is being drummed up by the eagles to try to increase his price. No way the bears send mack, foles, and a 1st for a broken Wentz.

The bucs, saints, and falcons offered us a 3rd each for a promise to keep Teddy as our starter.

THEY GONNA GET SOMEONE KILLED
For little to nothing.
Players in the Fan Controlled Football league make a weekly minimum of $400 to $750, plus room and board. That comes out to around $1,600 to $3,000 per month off of salary. Since this is a six-week league, that means players will earn around $2,400 to $4,500 for their salary throughout the season.

You see a Patrick Mahomes in this draft class?
I don't.
Skill wise, maybe Wilson but his physical profile reminds me an awful lot of Teddy Bridgewater. I'm not sure he can take the pounding a pro quarterback takes.
No, not saying I do. I just wanted the grand, lol.
I dont think many saw Mahomes in Mahomes otherwise he would not have went 10th, he would have been pick 1.
I will be happy if we get Lance.

They have Cooks, Cobb and Fuller. We had Moore, Anderson, and Samuel.
According to PFF our line was ranked 18th, theirs was ranked 23rd. Their run blocking was ranked 30th.
So I would say yes, our roster from last season was an upgrade from theirs.
Edit: PFF ranked our defense 17th, theirs was 27th.
When we are winning more games with Teddy than they are with Watson it pretty much shows you they have no talent.
