  1. It doesn't matter and means nothing even if true. As bad as he's been, if he was going to be fired, it wouldn't require a meeting. He prolly would've been informed before he even got back to Charlotte... and it definitely would've leaked earlier.
  2. Also hilarious - we've lost to them in consecutive seasons - last year to a lame duck coach who was inevitably getting fired and whom had a personal beef with Rhule because he tried to get the Giants to hire him instead of Judge if they'd match our offer, and now this year to a rookie HC. I just don't know how it can get any worse.
  3. He looks and moved like he's 50 years older and the team is just going through the motions. That was an L as soon as they hopped off the plane. That is embarrassing to watch.
  4. I just don't buy that Rhule is trying to turn it around here. He knew he was in over his head last season. It was rumored there were feelers put out there when USC and Oklahoma opened up last season... I think he knew then he wasn't built for the pros and was looking for a way back and fully expected to be fired. But of course, Tepper stuck with him... And I think he's been going through the motions ever since. And I also suspect it has something to do with his contract and the offset language stuff... I'm pretty sure he wants to get fired rather than quit so he can maximize his money, so it's Tepper's call. Otherwise it just makes no sense that he is in his third year, was given experienced assistants to prop him up, and he's still not shown a bit of improvement. He wants out, he just doesn't want to quit.
  5. This right here is why I loathe that he was ever awarded the franchise. It really is just a flex for him. The NFL is a money-printing machine... he just wanted in the club and doesn't give a poo about the results. If he did, Rhule wouldn't have been brought back this season. If he's even half as intelligent as he is portrayed to be, he already knew wtf it was... and he still brought him back knowing it's a losing bet. But his money is made... maybe he cares about winning down the line, but he definitely doesn't right now, and the way revenues and such are setup, there's nothing that can be done to make him really feel our discontent.
  6. I gotta think, he's getting them out the gate. It's at the point that Panthers PR can't sidestep it with their non-stop, oblivious fluff pieces and segments. The in-house production crew is gonna have a helluva time trying to avoid the angry mob, especially in-games... we heard it at pressers and stuff like st fanciest, but they're gonna have a hard time even conducting interviews and such 24/7 now until he's gone.
  7. They might, but I still would put my money on some of them over the poo we got going on.
  8. Yup... agreed. And so many examples, imo, and that is likely one of the biggest... I also think the buying the former associate's home to destroy it and build a new one over it, the classy ass grab at the presser, busting Mick's balls on-air and essentially making fun of him before forcing him to retire, making the allusion to Panther fans on Twitter being "basement dwellers," the HQ debacle, etc. Oh, and the Watson pursuit happened after he swore when assuming ownership after JR'S exit that sexual assault/harassment was a zero tolerance, non-starter issue for our team moving forward. Welp...
  9. While all that may be Scot, I don't feel like I'm going out on a limb to assume Tepper isn't any better of a person than JR was/is. From everything I've read/seen/heard, Tepper is a dirtbag. And my assumption is, pretty much all of these owners are too that play by their own rules thanks to their money and power... the ones who have had issues is just because they got caught/called out, but they're all mostly the same. So I don't think we came out better as far as our integrity, character, values, or foundation. So if those things are equal, then what did we come out with? Just a worst team and record.
  10. Well, Rhule doesn't have to worry about it. Coach Hov is locked in for 7 years.
  11. Yeah, I know there is still time, and I always believed in DJ more, for whatever its worth. But idk, Horn just looked so much more impressive in limited looks as a rookie. To me, he looks a lot more stiff, slower, and flat-footed this season.
  12. I liked both, but it's starting to look like you may be right.
  13. That's why I don't get too heavy into the Horn vs Fields talk. What I've watched of Fields, he appears to be not much different than so many QBs who have come through and been average to bad in their careers. Why? Because for all his incredible talent and natural physical gifts, he seems to lack the in-game mental part. Just like Darnold, whom so many "experts" loved for his physical gifts and abilities, he seems to struggle with processing what he's seeing, so if the first read or two isn't there he panics. Difference is, Fields is such an incredible athlete, he's been able to make some amazing plays with his legs once he doesn't trust his eyes or arm. But, that isn't a sustainable form of offense and isn't much different than what they did with Trubisky because he had the same problem. They don't trust what they're seeing, and that's what separates the greats from the bums. I don't see Fields being an elite passer now or in the future, because it's generally something guys either have or they don't.
  14. I've been hearing this in my head the last two Sundays...
  15. Agreed. If they can put those sensors in the shoulder pads, there's gotta be a way to work it in the ball and goal line without affecting play.
  16. I remember at Clemson, Sammy Watkins looked like he was moving at thrice the speed of everyone else on the field. The way he moved with the ball in his hands made everyone else look like they were in slow motion - just like Smitty. He has just not ever looked like that in the pros. I don't remember the last time I saw him lull away from defenders as a pro... but I think he had a few injuries early with the Bills, and I just don't think he was ever the same.
  17. Yeah, that looked like a TD, easy. They should start playing with a infrared ball or something.
  18. What you don't like Baker's meaningless 3 yard scrambles before getting caught from behind?
  19. I think the Bears still need to review it. It looks like he might have had the ball over the plane.
  20. I posted this in the '"Ted Lasso" theory thread.' I could buy the theory minus it being linked to JR. I think he could be tanking the morale and value to the region to make it easier to detach and move when he demands the city/county/state pay for a new stadium and they/we refuse considering the bad history he now has with the previous tanked deal for HQ and all-time low support from fans. He then skates out of town. I dont think this is theory. It is now what I believe is actually happening.
