  1. Per ESPN/Schefter. Dude is indeed diabolical horny and a predator, but I do/did believe in his on-field ability, but after seeing/hearing early reviews of how he's looked, then add an 11 game suspension on top of missing a full year before that... that's gonna be tough to come back from. Also, unless Brissett can set the world on fire, it sounds like a wasted year for the Browns. Deshaun Watson and NFL agree to 11-game suspension, $5M fine for violations of personal conduct policy - Adam Schefter http://espn.com/app
  2. Well if this is true, they need to quit giving Sam all those fake ass reps and split then between Matt and PJ.
  3. Yeah, he seemed to be relaying what he was told and acted on that, but he did say that he saw "grainy" video of it while at practice, so apparently that was enough... but I know He said they were going to make a decision after reviewing everything... I hope that was more just talk to quell the outrage from the outside, because i maintain, KRob is a good player and someone we definitely can use. Great hitter, great instincts, and just has always seemed like a playmaker to me.
  4. Great post, because I forgot to mention Pleasants. I have no effin idea where he came from, but I completely agree with you. I was impressed with him as well... and yes, they should definitely be taking Jordan/Erving spots from what I saw Saturday. Looking forward to seeing more of both.
  5. Yeah, as I told ForJimmy, I feel like he slipped because of him playing so many different positions, and as he pointed out, probably because of injuries, because the resume and tape would indicate the dude is a hell of a football player. I had no idea he was projected that high, though... but I know watching him, you can see why he was. Dude is a dog.
  6. Yeah, I didn't know about his injury history, but I suspected him playing every position on the line may have actually been a factor in him falling like he did too despite the positive connotations with versatility. A guy starting 35 games, across multiple positions, across two different SEC schools is damn impressive and has got to mean something as well. All I know is, everything I've seen of him is impressive and I could see him becoming a big time starter.
  7. I respectfully disagree. Ian has never lived up to even a tenth of what he could be. Efron has had some quality years and is light-years ahead of Ian as a receiver, regardless of his condition now. Issue is, I think if we had any interest, they would've already expressed it, so this is all probably moot.
  8. Interesting. I was just telling a friend last night, with the disclaimer that I know it's preseason and we've only played one game, but Mays looked outstanding and we may have gotten a steal with him. He was mean, nasty, and finishing blocks with bad intentions against WAS. From what I saw, I can see starter potential, and a very good starter at that... although I thought it would be at guard, that would be amazing if he could step up and secure the center spot away from Elflien while Bozeman is out. I believed and thought that Bozeman would be the starter, but Rhule's reluctance to put him ahead of Elf, and the seeming emergence of Mays seems like right place at the right time kind of stuff. It's also a sign of a great team on the come up...
  9. Yeah, but sometimes you'd rather deal with a problem you know than one you don't... It's pretty evident he doesnt prefer him over guys like Franklin who have played a similar role. Robinson has been cut multiple times and stashed in the PS, then brought back. And everytime he has seen the field, he has seemed to make big plays. And IIRC, the official website ran an article later last season after he finally got an extended look and more snaps whete Rhule admitted he was playing great and that he shouldve been given more snaps/opportunities before. And I want to say he described him as a guy with starter ability... I also think he made the comments about BC having should've been given more snaps in that same article. So Rhule has acknowledged the guy is good, has and does make plays for us whenever he is given the chance to, yet, he never seems to want him in that position to do so.
  10. Yeah, I guess I'm just saying coaches aren't without their own biases and agendas... had it been another guy, they probably don't throw him out of practice two days in a row. But, judging from what Slater said, it sounds pretty cut and dry that he concussed him and then stood over him. Perhaps in the heat of the moment, Robinson didn't realize or feel like he was standing over him, but it probably doesn't matter what he thinks now.
  11. Well, as I said in the other thread, for whatever reason, it has seemed like Rhule has always had an issue with him. I'm not saying either is lying, but someone is... and society tends to side with authority figures when it comes to such issues. But I've seen enough between Rhule and Robinson to believe the truth is somewhere in between, because Rhule has never seemed to have an affinity for KRob. I also believe it's entirely possible KRob hit him and stood over him... so it's hard to really believe either of them.
  12. I'd take him over Erving in a heartbeat and he may be our best utility guy, Cade Mays notwithstanding bc he's a rookie.
  13. While I agree, I think it was more the celebrating over his concussed body was what really drew their and Rhule's ire. I love KRob's mentality and edge. I hope he doesn't get cut for this. And from what I remember reading yesterday, Wilkerson was super antagonistic.
  14. As someone else posted earlier, most coaches are using the joint practices now like the dress rehearsal that the 3rd PS game used to be. Which is why they reported guys like CMC would be participating in the practices with the Pats this week but would be sitting out the game before we even traveled up there.
  15. "These guys are a-holes man! Get these clowns out of here." Welcome to the last 23 years you bitches, whenever anyone has had to play y'all. As the old saying goes... "Hunting ain't so fun, when the rabbit's got the gun," eh? Love it.
  16. That is the greatest report I have ever heard in the history of ESPN. *ESPN ALERT* Some fat woman suffered a bruised foot following skirmish that boiled over into the stands today at Patriots/Panthers practice. Sources say woman was morbidly obese and holding the now discontinued Choco Taco when incident occurred. More at 6pm.
  17. I get it. The "second guy is always the one to get called" principle was in full effect, but I remember being salty about the way that game was dictated by the officials for quite awhile. I understand a coach wanting to control what we can control, but at some point, I'm not mad at my guys for defending themselves. That did seem to be a line we constantly had to walk under Rivera.
  18. @PantherFanInPhilly posted this in the practice thread, but it's Slater describing what happened, and I'm guessing he's talking about KRob. Sounds like his hit/block concussed Wilkerson, then he stood over him and celebrated which is what set off the fight.
  19. I still maintain that was officiating more than anything stupid we did. IIRC, they called Mitchell for a clean hit, and then the ref looked dead at Boldin as he committed a dead-ball personal foul and walked off. There were multiple other examples that game, but it did not feel like we got a fair shake.
  20. Wow. That's ugly and hope the fan is okay, but ngl, I'm giving Daley a guaranteed roster spot just for suplexing a Patriot on his back. That was for stealing our '03 Superbowl.
  21. I dont know that he knocked a guy out and stood over him, and tbh, it didn't sound like Rhule knew exactly what he did either. I believe Rhule said a Pats coach came over and told him what KRob did and so they threw him out based off that. He said all he actually saw of it was grainy video of what he did but couldn't give a final word without them being able to go back and look at what took place. I was under the impression that whatever he did transpired during the melee because there were no tweets or reports of a hit from Robinson sparking anything today, at least not that I remember.
  22. I'll have to go back and watch it when they repost it, but to err on the side of caution, I assume it was the calf still. Couldn't remember if it was hamstring or calf that he was dealing with, but I think he was saying it was whatever existing injury he already had, so I'll edit the OP to cite the calf injury.
  23. Idk what it is, but I just like Zylstra. He isn't flashy, he doesn't necessarily wow you (at least not very often), but he is just THERE. And he makes plays. It's why I prefer him over a Saunders or Wright, tbh, because we've seen Zylstra and know he can do it. Plus, he can play STs.
  24. Said they were initially concerned Bozeman may have a fracture when the injury happened, said thankfully no fracture but has a lot of stuff "going on inside there [his ankle]." Said he'll be out 2-3 weeks. Asked about Robbie... said they wouldn't do vet days for any guys during joint practices. Said Robbir has a quad issue he has been playing through and just couldn't go today. TMJ still having issues with the calf. Said he didn't see exactly what KRob did, but apparently he hit someone and then stood over them and taunted them and Rhule said that's not what we're about. Was asked if Robinson will be cut following today's issues, and he said they'll have to get in and discuss everything and go from there, and added, the majority of these guys are out there to play football the right way, and you have one or two guys that cause issues. Then said, they'll have to look at the tape and see what happened and look at their options because "you have one guy" who has disrupted practice two days in a row. I think Rhulr was also asked what KRob was trying to say to him when he came back out, and he said he didn't know, because "I just told him [assuming Fitterer] to send him inside." Yikes. TBH, I like KRob, and I've just always got the feeling that Rhule doesn't. Not excusing him from anything done the last two days, but he always has made plays when given the opportunities, and he just seems to be one of those guys that gives your team energy and an edge.
