If Iggy could've shot FTs worth a poo, he would be the MVP.
-
And MJ's game winner over Russell wouldn't have been legit... That's my point. Historically, the faces of the league get the benefit of the doubt on those subjective calls. LeBron didn't get that this series. I know it's pointless discussing this with you because from everything you posted, you seem to be one of those people who just hate LeBron. To each their own...
-
The other thing that irritates me though with the LeBron hate is that the Warriors could've lost and no one would bat an eye, they'd all still be regarded as great. But, despite LeBron's performance and carrying his team without Kyrie and Love, he will be lambasted for losing like no one else.
-
I'm not disagreeing... The Warriors are the better team. But my point is, LeBron is all his team has. Don't the best players historically get calls other players don't? For all his efforts, LeBron hasn't gotten that benefit this series, and it decided one game in the Warriors favor. It's just my opinion and an observation. But, if we both believe the Warriors are the better overall team (and imo, the better coached one), then I have to believe the result would've been the same regardless of how it was called. I just get frustrated with the unjustified LeBron hate I see all over fb and the like and people pulling against him, and apparently refusing to acknowledge how great he is. I also feel bad for the long suffering Cleveland fans... But, I love steph, klay, Livingston, Kerr, etc., so I'm happy for them.
-
That could just as well be a flop. What about Iggy holding LeBron anytime he backs him down? What about him reaching? Again, the difference is the subjective calls versus blatantly textbook holding, fouling, etc. A charge is different than holding someone. A ref can call a charge or a blocking foul depending on how his underwear is feeling that day, whereas a hold is a hold.
-
Lol wow... Bron's legs gave out driving. Also, Kerr is an AMAZING coach.
-
In all honesty though, I thought the NBA would call it favoring the cavs tonight and force a game 7 (hello $$$). But the cavs haven't even played well enough to allow the refs to have an effect. I think Bron is spent and his supporting cast just sucks outside of mozgov. JR Smith is the antithesis of clutch.
-
I misspoke then... I didn't mean it negated the rebounding average statistically, what I meant is that it has dramatically changed those stats. If the refs were calling half of that poo, the rebounding would be astronomically higher in favor of the cavs and that would also dramatically change the way the games have been played... Not to mention, Green probably would've been fouled out of 3 or 4 of the games. Only calls I've seen going the cavs way were occasional (i.e.,LeBron sliding up under steph and causing a steal in game 2 or 3, LeBron travels but is then hacked like crazy...). Those calls aren't detrimental to GS. Not calling blatant holding, over the back, and pulling from behind is for Cleveland. The second chance points on both ends would be a lot different if it was called. Again, I don't it misconstrued... I was gonna be happy either way with whoever won. That has just stood out to me, and the last two or three games it has just progressively gotten worse. Not to mention if Bron is considered the most talented, skilled player since MJ, he certainly isn't getting MJ type calls when he forces the action, and the officials letting that go at the end of game 2 IIRC, completely gave the game to GS. There is a difference between letting them play and just sucking at your job.

As a fan of Bron and steph, and most likely a bigger fan of the Warriors as a team, out of the two, I have to say Cleveland's one big advantage was rebounding coming into this series. The officiating has definitely negated that by allowing the undersized Warriors maul, clutch, and grab Cavs players on too many plays to count. I don't ever recall seeing so many non-calls in loose ball situations.

Also Montsta, I wanted to ask... Is the score keeper guy with the huge afro that looks like the creepy narrator from tales from the hood like a bay area legend? He's got to be man lol. For some reason, out of all the dubs games I've watched in recent years, I have found him like everytime.
-
I thought once the series started that I would know who I wanted to win as I explained previously, I'm a huge fan of LeBron and Steph both. Feel bad for Cleveland as a sports city and I've always viewed the Warriors as my west coast team... But man, it feels like for the first time ever, I have no fuging idea who I want to win lol. All I know is, this is going to be a great series... And man, is LeBron on a mission and are the Warriors are so explosive offensively... So fun to watch.

If we had more competent talent at WR Bersin's best case scenario would be making it as the last WR who never sees the field during the season. This is why I really hoped we would do more with the position. I suppose as long as we lose Cotchery OR Bersin by the time the season starts, I can live with it though... I was happy for BB making the team and all last season with his story, and he seems like a great guy, but he isn't very good. Also, as far as RB, I'm pretty sure I said it when we signed him, but Todman will absolutely make this team, and I could see him surpassing Fozzy when all is said and done. It's kind of been a running joke here on the huddle, where anytime we would sign someone at RB, multiple people would say, "I think we've found our Darren Sproles." Fozzy has been the closest to it, but I'm telling you, I think Todman is the real deal in regards to being thscat-back we've been looking for.

Are you looking at my boner?

Welp... Let me get this started off right so I have room for some debits later... Dave Gettleman is the greatest football executive in the history of the world. He is a football genius. A savant. He lives, breathes, and sleeps football. I love him. He is my favorite person in the history of persons. His drafts are the stuff of legend. I admire him like no other being can be admired without being sexually attracted to them. I now wear my shorts at nipple-level in his honor. That is all.

I hereby declare this day, Cam Newton Day, in all of Panthersland! One thing though, is it just me, or does the length of 5-years seem a bit short? Without looking, I thought the most recent franchise QB deals were 6-7 years? Not nitpicking, just curious... Regardless, I'm ecstatic! Cam... Whoaaaaaaaa Cam!

fug Raleigh for withdrawing. And fug Asheville for not.

I feel conflicted. I've always kind of felt like the Warriors were my adopted west coast team. I grew up reading about RUN TMC, then their runs with players like Webber, Sprewell, when Muggsy played for them a few years, J-Rich, B-Diddy (I could pull for him again after he left New Orleans, F THEM), Captain Jack... And now, they have Charlotte's own, Steph at the helm... And if you don't like him, you just don't like life. BUT, I said last year when LeBron went back to Cleveland last offseason, that if we were out of playoff contention, I would be pulling for them... I hate them as long as we're alive, but we WEREN'T from the season opener lol. And it's not because of some affinity I have for Cleveland, but I am a LeBron fan, and I was happy he did the right thing. It was the best thing for him and Cleveland. It should be a fairy tale ending for his career to finish it out there and finally bring home a championship to their long suffering fans (the REAL reason I would like to see them get one), and it all is for his home state. I feel like it's one of those things where you truly don't have a dog in the fight, just a couple of dogs you found walking around on the street and gave them what was left off your Big Mac. I feel like it's one of those matchups where I don't truly know who I want to win until it tips off. I have reasons I'd like to see both of them win, but I also would feel sad for either of them if they lose, lol... SO, what I'm saying is, is that this is going to be an awesome NBA Finals. IMO, this is probably going to be the best Finals since the Mavs came back and beat the Heat for Dirk's chip... In all honesty, all of the season-ending injuries to the Cavs was probably the best thing that could happen for basketball. Love never really found, or adapted to, his role in Cleveland and then once his injury ended the idea of their "big three," it forced the rest of the team to play as a team and LeBron to step his game up to MJ-esque levels of greatness. But, it also made them a lot more complete, just as the Warriors are, from top to bottom. So, I expect a highly competitive series! It's gonna be fun!

I need to know... 1) Is he smaller than 6'7", 280 lbs? 2) Can he consistently catch the ball and is he known for having good, reliable hands? 3) Does he run a sub 4.7 forty? 4) Was he ever drafted by another team and played a significant role for them? If the answer is yes to any of these questions, then nope... DO NOT WANT!

Ehhh, i hate to be that guy, but iirc, Al Wallace was the guy who destroyed Simms and his spleen.

REPORT: SS Swearinger claimed by Bucs on waivers
Proudiddy replied to @bobbyagnese's topic in Carolina Panthers
If we're interested, i dont understand why we didnt complete a trade using a mid-rounder to secure him? Judging from this year's draft, it's not like DG values them as actual picks lol. But seriously, i know we don't know if we did offer anything or not, but if we wanted him, we should've traded for him because there's no way he makes it to us in waivers.
