    Before the contract, I would have been ok with a trade. Assuming the compensation was enough. Now that we've traded CMC and Robby and DJ is extended, I really don't see the point. We need somebody on offense for a QB to throw to.

    The most impressive win record wise is probably the Vikings, but I'm not sold on the Vikings.

    I really liked Hurts coming out of college. I figured he'd go in the 4th or 5th round and wanted us to take a shot at him. He has great intangibles.

    His shoulder is shot man. It sucks but it is what it is.

    We could definitely use some help against the run. Maybe rotational defensive line players and some upgrades at linebacker. Perhaps one of those linebacker upgrades could be Jeremy Chinn.

    And if some of those picks are used in trades to move up and get certain guys, that kind of blows up your assessment of the value of the return. We get it. You think draft picks are dumb.

    I feel the same way, and my biggest fear is ousting Wilks to hire some coach like McDaniels that puts us right back in the gutter. We would all like some genius offensive coach to come in and win Super Bowls, but the chances of that happening are pretty slim. Especially if Tepper is the one making that hiring decision. If Wilks shows he can coach, I lean towards giving him a shot.

    Would it be a conflict of interest? Probably. Would that stop him? I doubt it.

    Yea there's only so much you can do if you have a smaller frame. It just depends on the individual.

    That's fair, I just don't think not winning with Luke holds a lot of water. We had a hall of fame DE in Peppers and a MVP QB in Cam and we didn't win a championship or get back to back winning seasons with either of them. And I don't think they were the problem.

    So are you arguing that drafting Luke was a mistake? Or they should have traded him?
