Lower floors than AR coming out, or lower floors than AR now? Are you counting that he has proven to be a productive goal line back? AR as a prospect had just about the lowest floor you can possibly have. Probably the same as Milroe. Dart's floor looks a lot closer to backup QB to me, but the issue is that his ceiling doesn't look too far from that either. It's crazy that teams are drafting scratch off lottery tickets at QB with 1st round picks.

The level of talent required to skate by and make it at the NFL level is astronomical. Not many have been able to pull it off. We're talking Michael Vick levels of generational athleticism and talent. Everyone who makes it to the NFL is a freak athlete. You'd have to be a freak of freaks.

Derek Carr misses the season. Michael Penix is awful. Baker Mayfield retires this summer to work for Progressive insurance. Those would help too.

Yea good point. I'm just not sure its worth it. The odds of a 4th or 5th round pick becoming a starter aren't great. Moton is still above replacement level, he's just on the back loaded last year of his contract. That isn't a problem for the Panthers because they can afford to tank his cap hit this year. You really think it's worth selling off 1 year of Moton for an extra day 3 pick? You've swayed me back to a toss-up. Maybe if we went OT earlier in the draft.

What exactly are you expecting to get in return for Moton? A 4th round pick or something? He'll help the team a lot more next year than some day 3 draft pick.

I didn't watch many Ole Miss games last year, but he didn't jump out at me when I did. His highlights show he can be very accurate, but he looks limited. Walter football has his NFL projection as Gardner Minshew.
