  1. I can’t see the Jets winning. That only happens if Mahomes is on IR and a number of other bounces occur in succession. Rodgers best match was the 49ers. That team needs a veteran QB that can win. It would have been a good story too.
  2. There’s luck involved but it helps if you aim at the correct spot. Poker is literally gambling but people can become good at it. Saying the draft is a crapshoot doesn’t really excuse taking a RB in the 2nd anymore than it does taking a kicker in the 3rd
  3. Chinn will either figure it out and be incredible or he'll be out of the league within 5 years. I don't know that there's any in between. His coverage skills are replacement level at best. But he has big potential as a honey badger type.
  4. 2015 alone is better than any season Jets fans have experienced since 1968.
  5. The Teddy Bridgewater signing was under Hurney and it was the same sort of deal. Definitely points to Tepper pushing for a QB as soon as possible.
  6. There's only so much you can expect hiring the people who just got fired from the worst team in the league.
  7. At this point I feel sorry for Washington fans. We aren’t in a good spot either but damn.
  8. Kenny Albert is a lot better when he’s calling a hockey game. I’m not sure why but he’s not great for football.
  9. Well said. This goes for just about any sport. If you know a little bit about what's going on, it's a lot more interesting to watch. It's like when someone is trying to watch hockey and they don't know what icing is.
  10. He's closer to Russell Wilson than Tony Romo. You can't grind on-screen charisma. You either have it or you don't.
  11. Just like being a good businessman doesn't make you a good owner. Being a great player doesn't make you a good commentator. I expect this to go about as well as Michael Jordan's ownership or Wayne Gretzky's coaching.
  12. Tepper's always gotta hang onto somebody for too long. First it was Marty. Then it was Rhule. Then it was Fitterer. Now its Jim Caldwell.
  13. Tepper really should have done the opposite of every decision.
  14. I would assume so. If he got another job, I would expect to hear about that. If he stepped down I would think there would be an article about how he resigned and wants to go fishing or whatever. This seems like a firing and they're hoping nobody would notice.
  15. The firings will continue until morale improves.
  16. He was against it because he thought he would be fired with Fitterer. Fitterer did not survive to see either of those potential future 1sts, and Morgan probably thought he'd have the same fate. I don't know why people can't figure this out.
  17. Jason Pierre-Paul’s fireworks supply
  18. Its a shame his best years were on some terrible Charlotte teams. He really didn't have much success after leaving either. That was surprising to me.
  19. I admire some of the optimism, but I'm going with 2-4 wins. Anything beyond that is overachieving for next season. It's really a recovery year for us. Maybe we can get lucky and have a few things work out along the way.
  20. I don't mean the prospects are actually generational. I just mean there's very few of them that actually pan out that way. I agree with you.
  21. Theres way more generational prospects than there are generational players.
