With the rules today heavily favoring the qb's, and with the overall influx of wr talent coming in, this league is a high octane passing league. I get that Darnold isnt the qb for that but they need to be building this team towards that instead of this quick fix poo they have been trying for. As for Corral my thoughts are pretty clear, he is a nightmare waiting to happen for numerous reasons. If we get Icky/Neal/Cross at 6 I would consider this draft a success no matter what happens from there.

I think whats just as important is that Allen had incredible coaching and a clear plan from the franchise about how to develop him. I remember reading an article after he was drafted and the staff/front office was saying they had everything laid out for years about how to best bring him up to speed and how to use him. Essentially you only get one shot to mold a qb. Now with that said, you think this staff, this front office has a plan in place for someone like Willis? Hell fug no they dont

Mahomes had a total of 40 rushing yards in his super bowl playoff run. Mobile qbs are a fallacy in the playoffs. There are shiny and neat in the regular season but when the rubber meets the road you have to have someone in the pocket making plays.

Yes Josh Allen is most certainly the norm for NFL qb's. The traits I see for Willis is an inaccurate, run first qb that likes to move outside the pocket to try and make things happen either by his legs or throwing on the move. The NFL is not there yet, its still a pocket passer league.

None of that has anything to do with what I was responding to. The poster said Jackson and Murray have been healthy. I pointed out they have not been healthy.

Murray hasnt been fine. 2 seasons now have been derailed late in the year due to injuries and his refusal to run. Once that is taken away his results drop. Murray was hit last year on a blitz and then hurt again at the goalline and hit his shoulder. Jackson was hurt this year scrambling and rolled his ankle. Murray was hurt again this year scrambling and turning his ankle pretty severely.

Cam was a bonafide athletic freak. Willis not so much

I have no idea why people keep saying this. We cant simply just "trade down" unless Fitt is going for pennies on the dollar. We didnt take the Bears haul last year and now we have an even better draft pick.

Murray and Jackson missed time just this year due to running. Murray also got banged up in his shoulder last season from running. Give me an accurate pocket passer in the burrow mold that knows how to navigate things when pressure is coming.

With Rhules history of performance and draft picks along with Darnolds history of performance and draft picks there is no selling anyone anything. They both suck and have history of extremely high draft picks in the past and there is nothing on this roster that leads me to believe this is a 8ish win team. If we end up slightly out of the top 5 we are more desirable to trade up as a partner because whoever is 1 or 2 or whatever isnt dropping back. Sure we would have to give up another 1rst but at least you have something now to build on.
