  1. We dont have a 3rd. And qb's in the 4rth or later rounds rarely if ever work out. Might as well use that pick on more line help and target a qb in the top 5 picks next draft. We cannot keep wasting our picks.
  2. He is in an air raid offense so I would take the stats with a grain of salt. And he was mainly operating out the shotgun so he is going to have to learn to play more under center and dropping back. Which again teams are probably going to shy away just because of his knee and complete lack of immobility
  3. His deep ball inconsistency and more importantly his lack of mobility is going to be this kids downfall
  4. Intriguing for sure but his size and RPO offense background will be tough to overcome for pick 6. https://bleacherreport.com/articles/10021435-matt-corral-nfl-draft-2022-scouting-report-for-ole-miss-qb
  5. I am going to beat the poo out of a dead horse here. But we should have seen this coming, we should have taken this franchise down to the studs 3 years ago and we would be sitting as pretty as we have ever been if we had done this correctly. Instead we have been throwing poo on the wall and praying something works. Beyond frustrating when morons like myself could see the proper route to take.
  6. They have a ton of free agents. Their roster is hanging on by a thread. Same for the saints.
  7. See here is where I think analytics should come in. There needs to be some intense research about the quality and productivity of late round picks. History says it sure as hell isnt qbs. Without any data I would guess RB's and iol and special team players make up the bulk of the late round picks that actually contribute to teams. I have said for years at some point in the draft you have to get guys that will do something for you and not projects. I keep seeing this Glass kid being mentioned by the same folks over and over and over and not really sure what they are seeing. It would be a statistical anomaly for this kid to ever do anything in the NFL. So why go against data and waste a pick? And yeah you just pointed it out, Rhule drafted a fuging LS (who didnt play btw), I mean at that point wtf are you doing?
  8. Damn where to start here. Yes, being a competent starter is my bar for a quarterback to be somewhat successful. I mean poo we picked WG in the 3rd and that was a wasted pick. And the reason I am saying day 3 starters is because well you know we dont have a day 2 pick. So the next chance we would get in drafting someone would be round 4, day 3. Hope that helps. As far as HCBU qbs go there has been one in modern history and that was damn near 20 years ago. The odds are absolutely astronomical as they are for getting a quality starter in the 4rth round then adding the HCBU aspect do it and it turns into an impossibility. So in short I can say with 99.99% certainty that he we pick Glass in the 4rth its just a wasted pick. Its a new era in NFL the game is completely different then it was a decade ago. More times then not you have to spend draft capital to get your qb and then that is still a crap shoot. Trying to get your guy from round 3 or so on is a fools way to try and build your team. The data simply back that up. Can you get a SB type qb from round 2 on? Sure, are the odds in your favor thats going to happen? Hell no
  9. Do yourself a favor and see how many day 3 qbs there are starting in the NFL. I'll wait........... You could even take it a step further and research how many HBCU qbs there have been in the history of the NFL
  10. It may be picked apart but there are way more prospects in 2023 then the poo show of this QB class. Young, Stround, Van Dyke, Rogers, Jurkovec, Haener, mccall, Hooker, Slovis Not all are going to be top qbs but there is just more volume to choose from in 2023. Personally Stroud, VD and Jurkovec are intriguing but McCall may skyrocket up boards due to his pin point accuracy and various arm angle throws. poo I probably would gamble with McCall this year at 6 rather then the scrubs in this draft Granted his arm isnt a howitzer but holy hell some of those throws are mahomesesque
  11. thats another good point Just take the hit in 2022 and get your qb next draft. It appears to be absolutely loaded with qb top end talent
  12. You mean Bridgewater isnt a gunslinger?
  13. https://www.pff.com/news/nfl-2022-nfl-free-agency-rankings-quarterbacks Who from the list gives you the warm and fuzzies? On top of that I doubt any of them will come here on one year deals. So lets roll with Darnold and at least he gives us a top 5 pick
  14. Yep, but thats a plan. It sucks but at least its not throwing poo against the wall and praying it works.
  15. gunslinger to me he takes chances and that is exactly the type of player he is

  17. I keep seeing this over and over and over about trading down. 2 things here. If we like a qb we are not trading down and hoping he falls to us at whatever spot we land at. Secondly there isnt a player in this draft that someone is dying to get. Especially at 6 where the price tag is going to be huge. Now you can make the argument that Fitt may take pennies on the dollar just to recoup a pick or two but I doubt he does that seeing as he didnt take the bears good offer last season. I think he knows how valuable a top 10 pick is. I am just mentally preparing myself for these dumb motherfugers to spend 100 million on broke ass Armstead and picking Pickett at 6. Rhule rolls him out there after a 1-4 start and ends up winning 6,7 games and pointing to progress so Tepper keeps him for year 4. Talk me off that ledge
