  1. Damn, son. I've defended Bridgewater all year because I don't think he's as bad as many make out, but when Clark Kent savages you like that it's time to get in your mini-van and hit the road.
  2. I'd be less scared to go for it if we had an NFL roster to back up said rookie QB. Sadly Rivera and Hurney left us in a mess. We need all the Draft picks we can get at the moment.
  3. I'm in the minority here, but I didn't want Newton with the #1 overall pick. After we selected him I thought we should have gone all in on the Auburn offence that he was so successful in. Granted he'd be retired now, but he'd probably have a Super Bowl ring.
  4. Exactly. Allen is the outlier - a QB that's gone away and significantly improved his mechanics. At such a technical position like QB, where you don't have time to think about your mechanics (because you're trying not to think about the 300lb man trying to rip your head off as you process the defence), it's very difficult to rework what at 21/22 is now very natural to you. To be fair to Lance, he has such limited experience as a QB that potentially his mechanics aren't ingrained yet, so you could stash him for a year away from said 300lb killers and rework what you need to.
  5. His mechanics have got significantly worse with a year away from live action. Just watch the game he played last year. I'm all for taking Lance, but not with a Top 10 pick. He's such a massive roll of the dice.
  6. I'd argue Rodney Smith finished the season stronger and we still have Bonnafon to come back. This is a smart use of resources. Davis is alright, but not worth anything above vet minimum.
  7. So you're the guy that distorts Bridgewater's stats then. He'd roast you going deep to Anderson, Moore and Pitts.
  8. If the team could just let me know in advance if they plan to tank I can free up my Sunday evenings.
  9. I thought we were doing a like-for-like comparison? Anderson isn't a TE and McCaffrey barely touched the field last year. The Jaguars drafted a guy to be their no.1 WR last year - he's pretty good, but Moore is better.
  10. I'd take Chalk, Robinson and Eifert over Anderson, Davis and Thomas.
  11. Georgia fan perchance? 1.15 into the video below:
  12. Why are you trading back into the first round for him? Take him at #8, or trade down to later in the first round if you think he's not quite worth that / you have a good offer.
  13. I don't understand this mindset. If our scouts / evaluators / coaching staff grade Pitts as a mismatch player (which he is from what I've seen of him in College), then a) he's worth a 1st round pick and b) he'll put Arnold and Sullivan (who?!) in the shade.
  14. The same three receivers that had career years with Bridgewater last season? This narrative people are spinning is weird.
  15. "His decision making and pocket awareness makes me cringe at times". What are the two most important aspects of playing QB again? I forget.
  16. It's clear the poster values arm strength over anything else - at least they're consistent.
  17. I stay at #8 and see who's available at that pick. Depending on the calls you field I might trade down.
  18. I'm not moving up for a QB not named Lawrence or Wilson.
  19. Gun to my head, my guy is Mac Jones. So, no.
  20. He's talented so he'll get another chance if he wants it. He'll be starting from the bottom though and will have to earn everything as a Training Camp body. As there's videos of him dancing shirtless on cars from a few days ago I think we're a little while away from him being humble enough for that.
  21. Giving up a hell of a lot of Draft resources to a division rival for a QB who's at least a year away from seeing the field. Seems unlikely.
  22. Literally no legitimate QB evaluator likes him as anything more than a clipboard holder in the NFL. I really want to like Trask, mainly because he's improved immeasurably in college, but he isn't the guy to hitch your wagon to.
  23. If the Jets pick Wilson I'd give them a call about Darnold. I wouldn't give up much for him, but I'd test the waters.
