  1. Let's be real with one another. Anyone who watched Bryce Young play QB last season that wasn't giving lip service because he played for Alabama already knew what was more than likely going to transpire regardless of Johnson. Yes he's talented. But he is realistically at best a solid second option in an offense that already an indisputable #1. We didn't need him to know what we had in Bryce. The reasoning for the trade was low risk high reward but he was a known malcontent. The Steelers should damn well know one when they see one after Antonio Brown. Come on now. If random fans online knew it then Morgan certainly knew what he was getting into and that it was unlikely he would sign with us long term. This was the kind of trade Fitterer would make. Kind of like when Scott traded for Gilmore knowing he wouldn't stay here. Ultimately just ends up being a waste of everyone's time. Meh.
  2. Don't blame him one iota for feeling that way regarding that. But he was already done before this. Never should have traded for him at this point. Fans of the Steelers who came by to talk about the trade told us what was up with Diontae.
  3. I think saying he's qualified is being generous just my opinion. He was here as Fitterer's righthand man through far too many bad decisions. And let's be real. He knew as much as we did Bryce Young had a very slim chance of becoming a franchise QB this season. He and Canales decided to continue coddling Bryce and didn't give him any legit competition in camp and once again set their fanbase up for an utterly embarrassing season. To have sold out the defense the way they did just to make absolutely no attempt at adding another young QB to this roster not named Plummer is egregious. Also all that money Dan tied up in the OL and we couldn't move the ball whatsoever on a 4th and 1. Morgan absolutely does not get a pass at least in my POV. He needs to start showing some high quality returns and soon.
  4. Canales has a little rope left but I would absolutely love to get an actual qualified GM in here. Tepper won't hire anyone that doesn't constantly grovel though.
  5. He's washed at best. Needs to be traded for anything we can get or cut.
  6. Nobody is even expecting "great leadership" here. We haven't sniffed the playoffs in going on 7 years now. But if someone is wanting a top end contract it is never going to be a good look on any team in any circumstances to throw your teammates under the bus while you're giving low effort and quitting on routes. Idk if it's that some of our fans are just desperate to cling to anything that resembles decent receiver play or what but character matters too. People gave DJ Moore a lot of poo that honestly he didn't deserve but I never heard him act like a bitch about his teammates to the media like that. Truth is truth.
  7. That's terrible I'm glad he's alright. Not expecting much of anything though.
  8. CamWhoaaCam with his Ravens jersey thinks he knows best. Cool story bruv.
  9. Overpaying Diontae Johnson which is what it would have taken to even begin to convince him to stay is not going to help us in the long run. If you wanna hitch your wagon to him do your thing bud.
  10. To his credit he had a higher YPA than even Jordan Love at 8.7. He was pushing the ball. But everything else he's done says it was a mirage. It's okay CRA we know he stinks. Even with his size and phsyical attribute disadvantage the biggest thing is he just plays too timid overall. There's no killer instinct. The complete opposite of what you need to see from a first overall pick.
  11. His best game to date against the Packers he spent most of his time planting his feet and making strikes downfield from the pocket. Having ability outside the pocket and utilizing that as some QB's do when necessary is completely different from not being able to function within the pocket and having to move out of the pocket just to see the field. Other than that one game Bryce has not displayed an ability to function within the pocket. Defenses know it and they play him accordingly.
  12. Anyone losing sleep over Diontae Johnson is beyond help. The Steelers certainly aren't missing anything.
  13. Well that and they have simply hired young capable and innovative people and are letting those people do their jobs. They know when to pull back and that's what they're doing. They also aren't trying to make everything about them placing themselves front and center. What a sad state of affairs the Panthers are in comparison.
  14. Looking good so far. What I love to see is they have a lot of fight in them. Guys are playing hard for each other and their new head coach. LaMelo is definitely stepping up. Even Nick Richard's showed some grit out there. Tre Mann has been a great addition. It's very nice to have a local team worth watching.
  15. So looking back to week 1 when the Saints basically destroyed any hope anyone had left for Bryce's career and we thought their roster was actually for real. It's interesting fast forwarding to now and the Saints defense is 32 out of 32 in total defense according to Fox Sports. Now he's facing a team that's 3rd in total defense on the road in Denver. Ohh wee mayne.
  16. I have to say it doesn't exactly inspire much confidence in Morgan that he's been desperate to ink this guy to an extension while he throws the rest of his team under the bus and mails it in. Haven't we seen this story before? Sounds a lot like Scott Fitterer to me.
  17. When people say things like this my literal reaction is: Bryce Young could not be more different from Mayfield and Darnold. Neither Baker nor Sam have to take ridiculously long drop backs to survey the field or stand on their tiptoes to see. Also neither of them would have missed 2 open receivers right next to each other at the goal line in the red zone because they couldn't see around their right tackle.
  18. He truly looks like he is absolutely over being a QB in the NFL. The bag has already been secured.
  19. Sounds like a rare instance where the Panthers are being saved from giving a contract they'll later regret anyways.
  20. Clearly the locker room isn't in a good place right now but he's the only Panthers player I've seen to publicly badmouth the rest of the team. He basically said he can't play every position on the field. While also taking no accountability. Like I said. This is why he was available.
  21. The last few weeks have shown why he was sent out of Pittsburgh for little more than a sub sandwich. He thinks he's one of the best receivers in the league and he's a poo teammate. Good riddance.
  22. Sprained thumb? I thought that was a joke at first. Just too on the nose for this franchise. Alright Bryce. On with the shitshow...
