  1. They declined his 5th year option for $20M, they can still franchise tag him they just have to pay more like $30M
  2. That was an uneventful last 20 minutes of football
  3. Him playing like complete ass for the whole season isn't a weird reason to hate him being our 1st round pick. You actually thinking he could be successful at the NFL level just because he was the QB at your school is the weird and troubling thing
  4. I know it's a QB friendly system but I'm watching the highlights and Purdy is more efficient than everything we've tried since Cam went down. Pretty crazy they gave up so much for Trey Lance, went through the whole Jimmy G game manager thing and this kid is getting it done. Obviously great weapons but he doesn't seem to overthink things. Definitely gives a bump towards getting an offensive coach and finding a good DC. The chances of being that stacked talent wise on both sides is also pretty rare no matter what you do in the draft or FA
  5. Jim Caldwell is a lock for an interview or already has correct?
  6. What does this have to do with whether Demeco Ryans decides to reschedule his interview after the 9ers game today?
  7. I'd imagine Ryans decided to postpone since he has a playoff game today. Seems like it would be a bit of a distraction for him and the defense
  8. Ryans could still happen after the game today. If that falls through it will be painfully obvious if they just grab any random guy next week to satisfy the rule
  9. Looking like a good one unless thunderstorms delay it
  10. Levis for what reason. He might be better than McKee but that's about it on this list
  11. Hmm take millions of dollars to potentially win a college championship and hit the draft next year, or get drafted by Texans or Colts....Just turned 21 in October as well.
  12. I think Stroud generally just got the ball out fast under pressure, Bryce scrambled a little more. Could be wrong but that's generally how it looked from casually catching a quarter or two of the games while at work
  13. I believe the bottom number on that chart is college rate and the left side/vertical is their NFL rate so far.
  14. Yeah Tepper needs to go on Undercover Boss-Panthers edition before he starts rationalizing any more staffing hires based on irrelevant things he personally can relate to.
  15. Something about both being "business minded" or having a "CEO style approach" to his coaching. That kinda stuff is always really cheesy to me.
  16. And Jimmy G taking a pay cut while in basically the same situation, although it's too late to work out something like that. I seriously don't understand what their plan is. Stidham and a rookie? Baker/Teddy/Darnold and a rookie? 46 year old Brady competing in the AFC after looking like he's basically done?
  17. Between pressers and play calling I'm leaning towards Johnson. He's young but seems like he's probably actually more mature than Mcvay/Mcdaniel in that age range
  18. Steichen will be virtual, and might have the whole Super Bowl thing distracting him for another month. Not sure if Johnson will be in person or not but if he's from the area I wouldn't be surprised if he makes the trek down.
  19. Pretty sure it'd be $30M in 2023 and $40M in 2024 if you grabbed him off waivers, the $30M would be guaranteed but you could get out in 2024 with a dead cap hit of $7.5M. If he got cut and cleared waivers I think you could get a much friendlier cap hit in 2023 but he would probably want more guaranteed down the line. Either way I'm tired of the turnover. Darnold knows he's on the path to being a career backup and actually seems pretty cool with the idea, wouldn't be a distraction. Just draft a guy and go with Darnold/PJ/Minshew etc for a couple months without wrecking our wide open cap space we have after next year
  20. Well at least there seems to be some level of strategic thought and patience into this coaching search than last time. Rhule already had the job by this time in Jan 2020. Is Fitt actually in the interviews? 9 interviews seems like a decent amount contrary to Fitt saying the list would be short
  21. I'm sure the combine is going to change things, but mock drafts are all over the place for the top 10 picks. Could potentially have Will Anderson/Jalen Carter as the top two guys which could make the trade scenarios interesting. It's definitely not the kind of draft where everyone has Young/Stroud as the obvious top 2 off the board. As long as we don't draft Levis I'm comfortable with pretty much every other alternative
  22. Another. Kyler looks crazy in general because he's kinda shaped like a toddler but Bryce has him looking like a linebacker side by side
