I remember just a month or two ago both Bryce and Canales mentioned they don't buy into "negative motivation"...lol. Meanwhile Dan preaches dawg mentality but can't find pass rushers to save his life

I'm pretty sure ESPN sold Tepper on Rhule from the get go lol. Can't remember the media situation with Darnold but going from Gase to Rhule wasn't beneficial for him yet he took the blame for not succeeding. He still had some Darnold type things this last Vikings game but the confidence was glaringly better in that new system for him

Dalton and Cam Ward is my ideal situation, along with a high pick on edge rusher

The fact that he didn't work his ass off in the offseason after going 2-15 last year is kinda indicative of that. I mean it was evident he didn't want to compete at the combine and I dunno how that wasn't a red flag for this staff after having a mediocre last year at college where he couldn't even will his team to the playoffs

He actually looked about the same as a Panthers game on a good day, but a little more comfortable in the pocket. Watching the full game highlights his arm is obviously stronger than Purdy, who's arm is stronger than Bryce. Benching Bryce is probably a lot more direct and less fuged up than what was going on with Darnold/Baker/Cam getting shaken up and drawing one of their names out of a hat kinda strategy. I'm cool w Dalton but I'd also take any of those three and Teddy over Bryce any day

Canales hasn't been put in a high stress scenario yet because both games were blow outs. Next step if Dalton makes us look like an actual NFL offense will be if Canales can actually manage time outs and make the right calls when/if the game is close and on the line. He's schemed guys open but still need to see it in an actual competitive context

I think league wide it's minimum 4 weeks but maybe they're anticipating it being longer depending on the doctors. Second time having that fencing with his hands is super scary though. Wasn't even that hard of a hit into a guys chest pads

Baker is also a natural competitor/dawg. I don't really think Bryce is gonna bark at anyone or ever get involved in a scrum in the heat of the moment.

If Tua is done then I'd probably just grab Tannehill if I was them

Mike McDaniel I could see if Tua is off the table. He's already headed to minimum 4 week IR, maybe after a few more games the price will be a little nicer for them. Can Bryce beat out Skylar Thompson and Tyler Huntley? Close call on that one
