Well with that said, i think if they didn't have Jimmy G lance would have played much sooner if not day 1. Having a decent bridge qb ment they didn't have to play him right away.

I don't think lance needs as much time as they just had Jimmy who was solid already

I think because of the movement this past ofseason and precieved weakness at the position one of the two qbs was at risk of falling to the second round. If pit went Willis then it would be Pickett. The need just isn't there this season. It's similar to Rodgers and Alex Smith.
