  1. i am a huge McMillan guy. think hes finally our answer to big jump ball dominate x type guy. i would be willing to move up a spot or 2 for him.
  2. That's crazy. At corner specifically and possibly wr.. hunter is generational. I would wager him vs any corner in the last 5 years.
  3. I think Hunter is that talent. He's as close to a I bet he makes the Hall of Fame guy as u can find. He is the only guy that supercedes Abdul Carter in my mind.
  4. Just curious on the range of our comes.. best case if we lose. worse case if we win, anyone?
  5. I am not disagreeing I am just saying he is good enough to plug him in where you are leaning the most at any given time. If you need him at corner play him there. But also Bryce needs weapons specifically a number 1 playmaker. I think adding hunter atleast buys leggett time to develop further and add in a sprinkle of down field magic.
  6. I am not so sure.. Do I think he will play full time both ways? Absolutely not. but do I think you can divide his snaps up 50/50? Sure.. He's that good. He's a number 1 whichever side of the ball he plays at. I don't think comparing him historically to guys proves anything because he is better than anyone we have seen at the other side of whatever that persons primary position is. There is a average of what 63 snaps on either side of the ball.. give him 31 each and call it a day. Give or take which ever side needs him more. This is a really unique opportunity.. even if it doesn't work out him playing both ways test it out and you get a really good player on one side of the ball at the least.
  7. Your comparing slash type players to a guy who is generationally talented. This is something we haven't seen before. A guy coming out of highschool who was rated the number 1 player in the country and exceed those expectations as a junior the number 1 player in college football. Even the comparisons don't do him justice.. deion didn't play both sides the ball at Florida State, champ Bailey, Charles woodson? None of them played full time both ways. Respectfully..Hunter is as close to a sure fire Hall of Fame player coming out of college as you will ever have the chance of drafting. This or T-mac? This is a no brainer.(And if hunter isn't available I like Tmac after 6-7th pick).
  8. Every pick is a gamble we got that. And yes I am saying the higher you pick the more options you have. More options has never been a bad thing. Having your choice of said blue chippers is better than saying okay the blue chippers are gone let's look at a red chip. can I say Tmac or Hunter will have a better career than Burden? No.. it's a gamble... but I want the right to choose and not have destiny ordained to me. And yes Landing a bonafided stud like Chase or Jefferson could be the difference between meh and super bowl. Clearly we aren't talking about leggett the way teams view Nabers or Harrison JR or Brian Thomas Jr. They were better prospects all gone before we had the right to choose them. you rather choose than have to settle is all.
  9. Seems to me it would be a waste of resources to spend time on a area you are clearly not going. They have already said they won't take a QB in the first round so why are we scouting the ones who are only available at the top of the draft? Same with Jenty. We just paid Chubba and drafted Brooks.. are we seriously taking another RB inside the top 10? Why waste the resources on players you are sure not to get when you could use those resources to go look at 2nd round picks and players more likely to be there or after?
  10. why would we not want those types of talents... Are you saying we are better off not having Chase and Justin Jefferson? Look how Darnold looked for us and how he just launched 5 touchdowns with the Vikings and the answer is clear. Your better off having good wrs than say leggett..
  11. Yes. But you would rather have your choice of the obvious answers than the ones that you are more unsure about. That's the difference between picking at 4 and say 12. At 4 your more sure about hunter and Tmac than say your picking at 12 your looking at who? Luther burden?
  12. Well when you add in our respective draft board that changes everything. Because at that point the need is already built in. I doubt we even scout Sanders Ward or look hard at Jenty in that case. But in terms of true BPA players in college they are in the conversation is all I am saying.
  13. We are saying the same thing to a degree. I love how feisty we are. Keep fighting show glimpses of the future.. But a win at this point only gets us further away from what we eventually want a super bowl.. there is a large drop off in this draft after the 5th pick.. you go from franchise altering player to a very good starter
  14. Yes.. but that changes the metric of best player available.. you have to always take a look at your own roster and see where you need help. If aren't going to take a quarterback if you already have one, and If we are talking bpa at number 4 Jenty would be in that conversation but isn't brought up for obvious reasons.
  15. This is my biggest fear.. I don't see us losing out.. but it's what I want.
  16. I mean how... Where does he play? You benching icky.. benching moton? Offensive line is a strength right now. Best since 2008.. if you take a tackle at 4 it doesn't make us much better at all.
  17. Common sense.. I wrote a whole paragraph and because of one typo you came away with that lol.
  18. I don't think that term really exists. Everything is weighted.. Say Sanders is on the board and is the boa you not going to take him.. or that tackle who is currently top 5.. you not going to take him. Everything is weighted to some degree to fill a gap.
