  1. Panthers DE Brian Burns: Haason Reddick ‘gonna make me go even harder’ (usatoday.com) "In their December meeting, the Panthers squeezed Packers MVP Aaron Rodgers down to just 143 yards and sacked him five times. In the Super Bowl, the Bucs punished the Chiefs’ alien QB Patrick Mahomes, posting three sacks, 10 quarterback hits and picking him off twice. Building an intense pass rush like that is a cumulative effort and all the pieces matter. Reddick and Burns lined up for different squads last year, but if you put their numbers together they would have totaled 21.5 sacks and 37 QB hits. Any reasonable team would be happy to get that kind of production from their edge duo."
  2. Umm, Carolina isn't dead last in the division.
  3. I was very impressed with the quality in the later rounds, Shi, Nixon, Brown are going to be great. I agree. Here's to hoping.
  4. I know right? I don't understand why some people want to dis on Brady before pads are even on. He has the tape, the highest pff rate for a drafted college olineman in history, the lowest pressure rate in the draft, a awesome RAS, and experience against a 1st rounder DE and a few P5 schools. I understand his arms are short, but I just don't get why all these rankings didn't assume him for LT. Its all just paper now and they refuse to look at his paper. They assumes the rookies beat the vets on other teams.
  5. 4-7th Chuba Hubbard Daviyon Nixon Keith Taylor Deonte Brown Shi Smith Thomas Fletcher Phil Hoskins UDFA David Moore Oscar Draguicevich Paddy Fisher Mason Stokke Spencer Brown I can see that. My fav's: David Moore, Deonte Brown, Shi Smith And of course Fletcher should be around.
  6. That's fair. I was thinking the whole thing, always over/near the cap, but magically making space when they need to. Now this year they actually had to take some hits, but years past, they just restructure and renegotiate. I'm not saying Payton has no value. I just think he gets too much credit for everything...draft, cap, offense etc. They have the most stable management, possibly in the league.
  7. Their theme is superiority. They think they are the real fans with better logic, better critique, better morality, meanwhile being aholes to people they disagree with and derriing the coach, qb and managment. They're going to be fun to have a long.
  8. Yeah. Fortunately, there are other longstanding members here who are decent. The real funny thing is, frank has only been here a couple months.
  9. Nicely done. Looks like you've figured out his method for getting attention.
  10. 3 pros and cons to the Carolina Panthers pursuing David DeCastro (catcrave.com)
  11. I was thinking about this the other day. Why does everyone always give all the credit to Payton and not Loomis and Carmichael? They were there as long as Payton? Why does everyone think that Payton is the secret sauce? His demeanor?
  12. I think he played 7 games and we lost most if not all of them. We almost beat KC with Daley and Little playing left tackle. I think we all would prefer we didn't look so bad on paper here, but we just have a lot of prove-it guys.
  13. I don't know. I'm done guessing what they are doing. Is the Moton to LT and BC to RT real? Possible, but seems improbable. Can Moore or Brown beat out Eiflin or even MIller? Maybe. I'm not excited for a bunch of rookies on the line either. Eiflin was from the Jets, and Erving's been backup since he was drafted into the no win Browns. Does the coaching staff believe that they were victims of circumstance and think they can coach them up? The whole Erving, Eiflin thing is a mystery. Maybe they just wanted Darnold to feel at home.
  14. 31st If the Erving and Eiflin signings become more than depth pieces, Darnold is going to have to put back on his run-for-your-life jets. Please just be depth pieces. Please.
  15. Just checking what you were referring to. You seemed to really like the guy.
  16. You mean the SB, right? ... Not the most severe sanctions in the NFL history, and among the most severe punishments for in-game misconduct in North American professional sports history, including a suspension for a year, a team $500,000—the maximum fine permitted under the league constitution...you know, for the cheating they did to get that trophy. BTW... The Saints were started in 67. They had 20 consecutive seasons without a winning record or qualifying for the playoffs. They earned their first winning record and postseason berth in 1987, while their first playoff win would not occur until 2000, their 34th season. If we were the aints, we wouldn't even had a playoff win until 2029. Then they cheated to get their trophy.
