With this and last offseason being QB carousels, I can't even begin to imagine what next year's will look like.

IT IS DONE

There is so much irrational hate for Teddy here (to the point that folks are now trying to change the narrative surrounding Delhomme), I forget that we have quality posters. Teddy has always been a game manager that relies on his pre-snap reads and quick release. Did he show that he could be the guy last season? Hell no. His contract is literally set up to allow the team to build the offense for a young QB to be comfortable in while allowing them an easy out for the third year. It's remarkable, however, how many of the same posters that harped on Teddy needing pieces around him seem to ignore how the best player on the offense was gone most of the season along with the blindside protector. Some of the same fans that believe QB trumps everything will also follow it up by saying that the LT is the 2nd most important position on the offense. So now the offense is missing it's best player and 2nd best position for a majority of the season? Throw in an ineffective TE group and Chris Reed literally hydroplaning into nobody at LG? Oof. Personally, I like the idea of staying at #8 and waiting to see how the board falls. The team is in a position where they don't have to move up despite some of the chicken littles here saying otherwise (I'll never let folks live down that whole "We can't get a pass rusher at #16!!" only for Brian Burns to be chilling there). If one of the top 4 QBs are available, take em. Do the due diligence on seeing if there is a trade option (which they're doing) to upgrade the position. If the team can't find an answer this season and Teddy looks the same if not worse, then turn over every stone next season and find one.

Depends on system and current talent. I don't think it would be wise to arrange them by rounds like the draft, but if folks had to be particular they can debate the values of particular positions in different systems.

If I was in the Charlotte area, I'd consider it, but that's a little too rich for my blood when including trips from Charleston.

Outside of nitpicking a couple of #4 and #5s, this is pretty much what I have as well. I think the only big difference I'm seeing is Shaun Wade in the top 5. I had him there to start the season, but have him outside of it now. Jamin Davis I'm going to have to look into more. Same with Goldwire. Otherwise, I have Alijah at #4 for OTs rather than #2 Good stuff mang.

Imagine being able to use this entire draft on continuing to build the roster and then still getting Watson for 2022 + 2023 picks instead.

Interesting that you said Wilson seemed to carry his team at times when I got the distinct opposite impression when watching the games + looking through the gamebooks. At the very least against lesser competition early in the season they were running the ball and barely asking him to do much with it. I've got to go back and re-watch his later stuff, but those first 4 games were all the TCU run game. Dude's arm talent LEAPS off of the screen tho.

Prime time candidate for cuts. 4th round pick from a previous GM + coaching staff, and a part of me is worried that Rhule won't think he's hungry due to opting out for COVID. If I had one concern about Rhule & co atm, it's the talking out both sides of their mouths when it comes to player health & safety. He applauded DJax for pushing through turf toe all season and cut Eli Apple for supposedly milking a hamstring issue. While we have no idea what it looked like behind closed doors, that was something that stuck out to me.

Invalid. Iirc, that post claimed that out of over 200+ throws that Fields only went off of his first read only 7 times all season. Just watching the first game we can see that is false but there are plenty of other concerns such as at 1:55 on the scramble, he had a wide open WR in the end zone with their hand up but tried to take it in himself, bad feet in the pocket when there's pressure, and he stares down the first read. Year 1 Sounds like what should have been Year 0 was "Marty retooling" which ultimately led to his undoing (and gave Rhule an excuse) No scapegoats now but Rhule himself. Whomever is starting Week 1 is on him. My expectations are more geared towards year 2. They had an entire offseason to draft defensive pieces (+ a season to develop them) along with TWO shots at QB between now and then. Gonna support whomever gets trotted out as always, but am also oddly okay with this being a "Fitterer blows everything up" season

Would love to have him back on a cheaper deal. I like the group of Brown, Roy, Kerr, Burns, YGM, Obada, Haynes, and Miller. Short would be a great rotational guy that still has good burst off the line and some of the most violent hands in the league.

Had really hoped to see Weatherly show more than what he did, but with Obada performing the way folks hoped Weatherly would (often from a DT spot rather than DE no less) and Weatherly going to IR with Rhule's preference for players to tough out injuries was a bullhorn that he'd be gone.
