The purpose was to show that simple search results are not viable evidence to support an argument (btw, they said no T_T). Actual articles and such are where the meat is. For example, if I just do a search for "Is the Huddle a rational place to talk football?" I get this as the first image result:

Do you understand the difference in civil vs criminal cases, or are you just assuming that civil court is inconsequential?

I would love to see somebody try to argue this as being a legitimate citation for a research paper. I just want to see the professor's reaction. poo, I might do it now just to see if I can get away with it. EDIT: If they say yes, I'm totally buying you a drink.

He sucks and so does anybody thinking that he should start.

To Sign or not to Sign - Bridgewater vs Draft. DRAFT
Icege replied to CPcavedweller's topic in Carolina Panthers
Only real concern I have with Teddy starting is whether or not he can complete a full 17-game season. He was physically struggling down the stretch to finish his first complete season as a starter since his injury (something he'd need a "hell of an offseason" to address). Would love to see Fields or Lance drop to to #8 so that they can sit and learn. If Teddy struggles again, they have the end of the season to get the rookie some reps. -
PLAYING THE ODDS: An analytical look at the draft
Icege replied to Panthers Rhule's topic in Carolina Panthers
So... Trey Lance, Dillon Radunz, Quinn Meinerz, Osa Odighizuwa, Tre McKitty, and then take a shot with the x3 6th round picks? I'm ok with this. -
Good. The team "retooled" last year instead of flat out rebuilding, which ultimately set us back a year imo (especially when taking into consideration the limitations that were in place due to the pandemic). I can't tell if the idea that the team is a QB away from success is optimistic thinking or ignorance on display. If there are 4 - 5 QBs taken before the Panthers pick, that means the team gets a shot at a top LT, TE, or CB and another starter in the 2nd. I'm very happy with being able to come away with a QB, Penei Sewell, Rashawn Slater, Kyle Pitts, Patrick Surtain II, or Caleb Farley. There's a lot of really, really talented prospects in rounds 2 + 3, with round 4 being an opportunity to get somebody that slid. I wouldn't mind seeing Fitterer jump back into the first with our 2nd round pick to lock down another bonus year for a rookie contract, but I would really like to see if he can trade back at all and pick up an extra day 2 pick.

Did you really just equate dudes whining on a message board to victims of sexual assault?
-
So... you're white knighting why then?

You joining them?

Curious to know if any of these folks screaming that they won't watch if Bridgewater is starting will make good on their word.
-
Just a reminder that three QBs have gone in the top 3 picks before, but there has never been 4 QBs taken in the top 7 in the history of the draft.

Comparisons to Mike Mamula + Dion Jordan, focusing on sacks as the sole metric for production, a hyper focus on the 40yd dash time despite the fact that he measured high in multiple drills, etc isn't refuting clear athletic talent that was also combined with production? Again, not saying the man is a sure thing in the pros, but with those measurables he WILL get opportunities on the field and he's likely improved his earnings by literal millions. I'm not sure what the downplaying of the prospect does (not like we're targeting edge rusher in the first two rounds), but they can cook I guess?
-
Folks are doing a lot of work to try and refute the man's clear athletic talent that was also combined with his production. Not saying he's a sure thing in the NFL, but with those measurables AND tape, he's definitely sneaking his way into the back end of the first round after being rumoured there months ago. If not then, I can't see him escaping round 2. Considering he was considered at worst a day 2 prospect, I think that's a good thing ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

That man about to get paid

Was coming in here to ask what you thought about Oweh sneaking into the 1st round now, but you're already ahead of it I knew that he was gonna measure well, but lawd almighty

The full quote was "if he's out here preying on women." It was not a describing Watson as doing so. Let's try not to misrepresent what we can clearly see. If we want to remain consistent, we can go to the primaries when the Reade allegations broke and look at who my candidate was then (Bernie btw). Let's be consistent. I wanted Watson, but like I said in the quoted statement, those legal affairs need to be sorted out. Though I will agree, decency definitely separates those of us not wanting an individual that just had 12 civil suits filed against them for sexual misconduct from those that think "Buy low! He can be gotten for cheap!"

It's wild the reach y'all are trying to make there. Did I call the state of GA voting for Biden, Ossof, and Warnock as opposed to going Trump, Perdue, and Loeffler on the night of the election saving the country? Yes. Please, tell me how that provides any inconsistency here. Now, if y'all wanna try to have a good faith conversation here, let's try something relevant. For example: We can talk about how I reacted to the Biden/Reade allegations. Go ahead and search the Huddle and social media. See anywhere where I denied her accusations, insinuated that it was a conspiracy by the GOP, or any of the other type of behaviour we're seeing in here? No? Well then... Like I've been saying: support women and victims.
-
The desperation for better QB play should not influence the minimalization of the experiences of potential sexual assault victims. To pretend that isn't happening here is incredibly dishonest. The only reason the conversation exists here is because folks want Deshaun to play for the Panthers.
-
fug yes that's me. The state of Georgia flipping blue got Trump (rapist) out of office and ended the Republican majority. But tell me again how Trump and a Republican majority was gonna save the country. We got time.

Sounds like with Snow they're more willing to compensate for that by instead running disguised zone blitzes and taking advantage of the confusion created for the OL. Would explain the leaning towards long CBs that can tackle
