  1. Lol this is gonna sound stupid, but Kraken (or any sort of dark spiced rum I suppose) is delicious when mixed straight with milk.
  2. Yeah, the stripped version of Chariot is one of my favorites of all time. Good to hear.
  3. That's one of my dream concerts. The pure amount of soul he puts into his songs and the performances I've seen on Youtube blows my mind. I wanna hear him do Belief and Waterfall on the piano so badly.
  4. I saw The Eagles last year and it blew me away. Now, I'm young and had never been to a show of a band older than the 90's, but I thought it was really impressive how amazing they sounded despite the age. I nearly dropped a tear during Desperado, especially when looking around and seeing the nostalgia and pure bliss in the faces of the old people.
  5. Weird, I was just about to start a concert thread. Great Concerts (In no particular order) B.o.B Matchbox 20 / Goo Goo Dolls The Eagles Pink (Yeah yeah... I went for free and it was surprisingly great) Zac Brown Band Gym Class Heroes Not Great Concerts J Cole (Was just awful. He didn't seem to be enjoying himself and was just rolling through the motions for his home state crowd) The Underachievers (They were absolutely stoned, and as hilarious as it was, the performance was very lackluster)
  6. Your score is: 5504 (GRADE: B+) Your Picks: Round 1 Pick 25: Jaelen Strong, WR, Arizona State (A) Round 2 Pick 25: Breshad Perriman, WR, UCF (A-) Round 3 Pick 25: Cedric Ogbuehi, OT, Texas A&M (A-) Round 4 Pick 25: Austin Shepherd, OT, Alabama (C-) Round 5 Pick 25: Adrian Amos, FS, Penn State (B+) Round 5 Pick 33 (COMP): Karlos Williams, RB, Florida State (A-) Round 5 Pick 38 (COMP): Shaquille Riddick, DE/OLB, West Virginia ( Round 6 Pick 25: Stefon Diggs, WR, Maryland (C+) Round 7 Pick 25: Justin Coleman, CB, Tennessee (C+) Really like this draft. Three receivers is obviously a lot, but I couldn't pass Diggs in the 6th, he's too good. Coleman can play nickel and ST. Two tackles so at least one of them probably pans. Solid RB to compliment Stew and Fozzy. And Riddick because
  7. We won 7 games last year. We shouldn't have sniffed the playoffs, but we got incredibly lucky. No need to act as if we're a powerhouse with a perennial lock as division winners now.
  8. I'd rather enjoy my life for ~15 years before realizing "I'm in some sh*t now, but damn was I happy" than live my entire life, including my youth, tryna convince myself that I'm happy whilst mulling about in complacency. I don't plan on joining the real world for a couple years anyways though, so my advice is only really for a certain type of person I guess. Depends on your goals and what you value I guess. Edit: It's probably imperative to add that I don't plan on living in the US again until I'm at least 30 (10 years), so it's undoubtedly different if you're tryna be competitive in the American job force. For example, working even the shittiest of jobs in Australia will get you much more than shitty American jobs. Hell, $18 AUD minimum for fast food workers in NSW. Sure, cost of living is higher, but you can still live super cheap and have a good amount of money left over for other things. Now add a degree from a highly touted American university? Doesn't really matter what it is (assuming it's not like some visual arts degree or something), you can make a living doing what you love.. And in a place that you love.
  9. My advice is don't go into school thinking about money and future careers. Take classes that interest you and find your niche. Once you do, find a way to work that into a potential career in the future. As cliche as it sounds, if you end up hating your job, your life is gonna suck penis, regardless of how great it is outside of your job. Find your niche, my friend. Follow what interests you, money aint no thang. You wont need the big money if you can be successful, and you're more likely to be successful doing something you love. Success isn't measured by cashflow, my friend. If you're smart, you'll follow my lead and keep an active eye out for those pre-med, bio/chem, and business girls. Smart is sexy, plus hell yeah if we can still have a nice house whilst I'm tryna make a living in the fields that I love.
  10. As if any university, let alone Harvard, would send back a personalized rejection letter. Do universities even send rejection letters at all? Or personalized letters, other than your name and address at the top?
  11. Also none of that is true. I am just really stoned right now lol
  12. Four years ago, I was deciding on schools myself. I was stuck between Dartmouth College back home in the states, Oxford University in the UK, and Uni of New South Wales here in Sydney. UNSW is by far the worst of those schools academically, but I really loved the idea of living in Sydney and it was something that I was 99% sure nobody would be able to convince me to give up. But, I also wanted something on a relatively close scale to the Ivy League choice and Oxford. I ended up finally getting convinced about just how good Uni. of North Carolina actually is academically, and I also found out they have an exchange student agreement with UNSW, so I could spend a year living in Sydney before graduating in the states and moving to Sydney with a better degree. So, now I'm here at UNC, and I decided to try to walk on as a corner at UNC, and ended up making the squad and getting a partial scholarship soon thereafter. My story is relatively neat I suppose, and I really love UNC and Chapel Hill. Discovered the girl of my dreams here, met her through one of the football team's parties that only other varsity teams get invited to. Tryna convince her to move out to Sydney with me after she graduates in two years, but she wants to try to play professionally in the US. But anyways, I digress (significantly). Take whichever is the most practical so that you can lead your dream life efficiently 5 years after graduation. If money is a part of that, then go somewhere cheaper for you.
  13. 1. Good question, but considering international soccer and basketball fans get by just fine, I can't imagine it'd be that big of an issue. Most people internationally know enough English to get by these days anyways. 2. True, but apparently his team alone has quite a few Americans, former D1 college players or guys whose NFL careers didn't work out. Though I agree with you, his hands looked good and he seemed to have a good grasp of the game. 3. No, it's not, but I was reading that the timing mechanism is different than the real combine's one. I can't be damned to go back and find the source since it's not that important, but a mid to high 4.40 puts him at or above Wes Welker, Cole Beasley, Antonio Brown, and some other guys around his same size. You don't need to be technically fast to play like you are. Sure, he'd likely never make the team, but if for nothing else than the media story and potential new fans from Japan? Why not give the guy a chance in training camp? He was supposedly impressive in the Ravens camp and survived all the way until the end of the camp.
  14. http://www.japantimes.co.jp/sports/2013/05/28/more-sports/football/kurihara-aiming-high-after-impressing-at-ravens-minicamp/#.VRBwUGaETss Good article about him from back in 2013.
  15. He plays in the Japanese professional league and was at Baltimore's training camp two seasons back. I'll edit that into the first post, thanks.
  16. No idea, I just know I agreed with a lot of what he said a few years back.
  17. Yeah, definitely should've left out the 40 time bit, but the veteran combine appearance is why he's got some slight buzz right now.
  18. Apparently, the veteran combine's 40 timing method makes times slightly slower than the actual combine's time, so his time would likely translate to somewhere in the 4.40 - 4.49 range. 5'11 & 177 lbs measurables. Not terrible for a potential scrappy slot receiver type. Plays professionally in Japan and it seems as if he dominates the competition. He was invited to Atlanta's 'international practice squad' a few years ago and Baltimore's training camp in 2013, apparently impressing. Caught some awfully thrown passes in this highlight video, and seems to have some shiftiness and tenacity. Training camp fodder? I'll take it 10 times outta 10. Love guys that have something they're trying to prove. He likely can't hang with NFL talent, but deserving of a look IMO.
