He's playing awful for a top ten selection. Have I given up on him? No, it can take OL time to develop. But it is disappointing to see him regress so much in his 2nd year.

Always was a big fan of Phil Snow.

Bryce doesn't have a great deep ball, but that throw to Hayden is not an example of it. Hurst catches that if he's not held.
-
Yeah I was like what the hell? Cause he had 1 on 1 coverage and it really wasn't a bad throw. How did the refs not call that?
-
That was not a bad play-call or throw. Hurst either got held or stopped running. WTF

WHY DID HAYDEN HURST STOP RUNNING????

The fact Thielen is doing what he's doing proves a WR can thrive in this offense... the issue is the receivers outside of him SUCK and Thielen, for as good as he has been, is still limited to the slot.

OL getting abused

Panthers are 100% onside kicking it to start the second half.
-
A touchdown would have been nice but that is a great drive to finish the half.
-
14 points isn't a bad first half. Unfortunately we just aren't talented enough to keep up with Miami.
-
Yeah Shenault is done for the day.
-
Eh, I agree he needs to work on it but also he was getting pressured up the middle which rushed the throw.
-
Who is Nick Thurman? Literally have never heard of him.

WHAT A THROW

The OL run blocking isn't bad. The problem was Miles Sanders has ZERO VISION.
-
Miles Sanders is so garbage. Chubba better be the starter going forward.
-
One of the worst multi-year starters in Panthers history.

I love Steve Smith the player, but he is such a tool as an analyst. It hurts me to say it but it is true. He takes way too many shots at players. I'd bet Jeudy isn't the only one who doesn't like him.
-
I love his game, but his skill-set is weird. He runs so slow but cuts so fast.

2008-2011 Panthers literally had an all-time great rushing attack. IIRC, the 2011 running game was the highest-graded rushing attack that Football Outsiders had ever recorded. 2 1,100-yard backs in 2009. Incredible seasons from Stewart and Williams in 2008. Hell even the 2010 running game was pretty solid given who the QB was. And that isn't even getting into the receivers. Yes, Cam Newton's team was way better. It is a damn shame how much talent we had on those late 2000s and early 2010s teams end up getting wasted. So many legendary players on those teams.

Barnwell: Panthers have the slowest WR routes in the NFL
Mage replied to Dorian Gray's topic in Carolina Panthers
Terrace Marshall definitely doesn't play that fast. That was even true at LSU and was one of his negatives as a prospect, that he didn't run as fast as he was timed (here's one example of a scouting report noting it). And in Mingo's case, a 4.46 isn't particularly fast for a WR. 15 wide receivers in this past draft alone ran a faster 40. And that is just in this last draft. Almost every NFL team has at least 2, if not 3, WRs faster than Jonathan Mingo. The coaching has been bad, I agree. But these wide receivers are very slow. DJ Chark is the only one with legit speed on the field. Another issue is that while they may have straight-line speed, we have NO wide receiver with agility whatsoever. Nobody that can make a dude miss in open field outside of Shenault, who isn't fast either. That makes it harder for them to separate because it limits their route-tree. Again not defending the coaching but this is a legitimately bad and slow receiving group.
