Players are people and people make mistakes. Rod has long wanted Neces to shoot the puck more and he has been outstanding on offense this season. Burns added much on both defense and offense this season. Yes both had some poor play/turnovers tonight. For whatever reason the team looked tired for parts of the game, maybe the morning skate took away too much energy. When you’re tired you make more mistakes. Added to that I really thought the puck bounces just weren’t going our way, the goal after the puck bounced of Ago’s face summarized how the bounces just weren’t going our way. But one game does not a series make and I believe we win the next one and close out the series game 6 in front of the Islander fans.

I misquoted Aho, in rewatching his interview he actually said “the guy was probably not aiming for my face” when talking about Engvall’s shot.

Not uncommon for the opposing team to have a ton of blocks on the canes, a lot of our shots are out on the perimeter and teams have learned to stack up at the net.
