There is a contingent that is total Bryce but they weathervane with the wind. When the good Bryce wind blows about once or twice a month we hear a lot from them. But they are always pro Bryce, they just don’t pipe up too much when he sucks. I can’t speak for them, as far as what they are looking at. In a second contingent, the collective mind is made up. He has had had basically three years worth of starts that might include a top tier outing or two, a few second tier outings, offset by about the same number of bottom tier outings which actually may have the edge there. The rest of his stuff is third tier and that is going to be the bulk of his starts. We want to move on. And we aren’t getting off of that hill until he puts us off of it. He has not. There is a third contingent that has no conviction and definitely weather vanes. Bryce is good. Bryce isn’t good. Depending on the latest game. They will buy into 7 on 7 success so that should tell you something.

I am talking Russell Wilson prayers. How many this year do you think? Whatever the number, fewer last year from my memory. Of course Bryce started off so well in 2024.

There is video somewhere of Tillis commenting on Wharton and knowing him in KC. Probably on the team site in one of those blueprint things or the like.

It is possible to not blame him directly for the loss on Sunday, there were obviously some other big issues, and at the same time evaluate him as not cutting it overall. Ask me how I know.

Take Darnold and DJ Moore and All those draft picks and All that cap and draft capital dumped into the offense… Or Bryce?

Well, looking at it now I would agree that he should cede some of his power and focus on being a leader of an entire NFL program and becoming a better strategist. And leave the details of implementing that to the people he has hired to work under him. But I am just some guy that gets his info 3rd hand and works off of incomplete info, using assumptions to draw conclusions.

It was probably a concession made that Canales has no influence over. If I were in his place I’d have agreed to whatever, to get my foot in the door. And as a fist time HC saddled with fixing or getting production out of Bryce Young, that is a double full time job to start with. He gets the team in the playoffs (I don’t see that happening) and he will get his leash extended. Little more power, a bigger voice. I didn’t expect poo this season so didn’t care about these little dramas, personally.

Saw that. Yeah. I mean all those defensive things with the third downs, giving them as many chances as they need via flags, it was pretty miserable.

Well I will agree that he is in the ‘is what he is’ stage at this point. Probably is whatever he is gonna ever be, right now. Physically.

I don’t think TO really went over the top behaviorally until he had a lot of success. But it was a long time ago to remember.

Bryce could bulk up his wheels and core and help himself. No gain to bulking up biceps and forearms and getting tight there but that base, the leg drive, the strength to maybe not get pulled down so easily…. how could more leg strength hurt him? If he ever did use his right footwork he gets better leg drive and lower body into his throws.

I don’t see a compliment in there. He is not calling him good. The criticisms of oversights and unpreparedness are valid. I just would like to see him with a real QB like most other people have, to see what it would be like playbook and play call wise.

If I bet I would bet on the Panthers on Sunday. This up down up down is real.

That is the brutal truth. (Limping or backing into the playoffs and giving false hope) I wanted him to remove all doubt the last 9 games (after the injury blip), either way. Good or bad. He hasn’t. Either way really. But I haven’t seen enough to justify that 5th year. Granted I was going to be a tough judge to win over. The playoffs thing… It t is like rooting for higher taxes next year and the year after if you get a nice stimulus check right now. I mean, you think you are rooting for something good, but in reality you’re not.

I smell Tillis’ influence here, in the Wharton signing. KC. Probably vouched for his locker room vibe and motor.

It was like we were running in quicksand the whole game and the broadcast reflected that. Same vibe. But they are a good crew. Luke is excellent.

The only offense fit for Bryce is his college one. And we know, or should know, that will not work in the NFL.
