We should get two. Live a little.

Yeah it is the concerts. Didn’t he put grass in for some big dog soccer players and then take it right back out? That would piss me off if I were on the football team.
-
4:30 am until 9-9:30 pm I think he said. That’s his day. Every day. You can see it on his face, They ribbed him about not blinking. He owned it.

Works for me. You can use BOA for big stuff in the summer and spring, where you have time to rehab your grass field. If I had that guy’s money I would want my ball team to have the best of everything so players would want to come here, even in a down year. And I would have the best visitors facilities as well, to make sure that the rest of the league knew how I rolled. You come into this place to play the Panthers, you leave impressed. I mean, you go back home and our visitor locker rooms are better than your home stadium? That will make an impression.
-
Good lord they are spoiled. Locker room is a D? Okay D+. Somw nice high marks though, mostly. Fix the field Tepper.

Lol at least it didn’t go Maury Povich ‘you are not the father’ heh. I am done.

Lol. I am way out of the market and basically an old man by now. Finally did settle down with a girl I had dated off and on for 17 years and remained friends with the whole time. Not my typical scenario lol. She passed unexpectedly a few years ago and I am permanently retired from the romantic relationship biz. Had my one while it lasted and have had enough crazy female poo lol. Texas though, I wouldn’t take points off for that.

Adam Schefter: Panthers getting trade calls for Andy Dalton

Schoen probably did take advantage of Dan being green. But I don’t know what anyone was gonna get for Burns with the leverage Fitterer gave him for negotiations to be paid, and people knowing we weren’t going to pay him. We were at a disadvantage there to begin with, by that time. Obviously turning down 2 1sts was fuging ignorance. It was maybe a bigger complaint from me about how the returns were used. The XL trade was pretty small potatoes to move up wasn’t it? -
He is tearing it up. I want to look closer at Anthony Hill Jr.
-
We used to say, “that don’t make her no bad girl”.
-
I hear that. Different makes the world go round. I was something of a playboy in my child fathering years. Travelled a lot and had a girl in every port. I am kind of the opposite from you I did not want to settle down and marry. I told a couple of the really good girls I was socializing with to find someone else I wasn’t what they were hoping I was lol and they wouldn’t be happy. They were good and deserved better. I stuck with the ones that deserved me lol. I would have gotten along well with your exes whole family. Same line of work as the grandmother.

Both those were deals with people he knew socially as well as having worked with them. If you are grousing about the price or the return, that isn’t my point. That is a different thing. I am talking people you don’t really know all that well and maybe haven’t dealt with, and in this context: If they ask about a player and you are known as trustworthy, it is an asset. They will take your word for something and know you aren’t bullshitting them. -
It is all personal taste but I find Upton to be very top heavy. That is fun a plenty but will not age well. If you are doing long term. edit: damn Basbear, I had not seen your post. They are both top heavy lol. Top heavy is the phrase of the day I guess.

Smart man. I wish I had been that smart. As far as marriage, that paper, if you want children you should marry but that’s it. There is no other good reason to do it.

When I look at Dan I see a guy that is overworked to the point it shows. I see people say he is like a dumb jock basically. I don’t think he’s stupid. He is very transparent, kind of guileless. I don’t mind him being a straight shooter. I think it buys credibility which is helpful when negotiating with other GMs. The thing he did with AT and Minnesota last year I believe probably won him some points with prospective FA vets. Which does not hurt a team people may have doubts about joining. -
They say, with a young woman, look at the mother to see what you’ll have in 20 years. I think with good reason. Styles’ dad was an NFL LB. I listened to him after meeting with Morgan. I am sold.
-
That’s what people say. I know I’d see it differently. Bijan is pretty damned good but I don’t have nightmares. You are talking, likely, (or high potential of) a Ray Lewis or Luke level of impact on the game with Sonny. I hope they do take that RB if they have the two guys both there.
-
NO is sitting at 8. Cue scary music.
-
Man oh man. That 8-9 record without a playoff berth puts at 13 if I recall, ahead of both Atlanta and TB with their 8-9 records, due to our weaker SOS. We might have been in range to deal for that guy. I hope he doesn’t last to 8. And I hope some AFC team picks him.
-
Cool. I am not wanting to debate or argue it. It is mostly my preferences. But a couple of things: I just don’t think he sees the middle of the field well. But besides that I would rather spend a 1st round pick at different offensive positions if we went offense, otherwise we have neglected defense something fierce the last few years. Last 1st rounder was Horn. That’s like 5 years ago now. Investments… gee the last 4 drafts we have used a 2, a 2, a low 1st and a top ten pick on WR. Bryce has been here three years, three of those picks were specifically for him. And assets, I don’t think you are counting the haul we gave for the QB position. That counts and it was huge. Add that up and add the Burns cap space we freed up when we traded him. We bought two guards and used the savings on them. Not on the defense. I mean, that is a lot of investment in the offense when you put all that in a sack and weigh it. peace. Appreciate your post.
-
Well you are officially renting him in those circumstances. So I don’t care who he is, I wouldn’t want to give up a 3rd. I for sure was thinking much cheaper. Got to pay him 15 mil. And then he can be a FA. I guess you could tag him. That would be costly. The idea of a one year rental doesn’t bother me though, it could buy time and still allow us to draft an edge this year, then in ‘27 we’d have Scourton and Princely going into their third season and the newer draftee his second. They might be ready to step up. I just would want him cheap.
-
I have already seen him mocked to 7.
-
I am not endorsing or rejecting.. just commenting. NYG GM Schoen and Morgan are like, vacation buds. Did the Burns trade already. If we had interest it should be do-able. One year rental? Could be cheap. But it would need to be. Maybe a player could go back to them. More than that? Like trade for and extend him? I don’t know enough about him to really say about that. What LG just said sheds some light. In a general sense, we have done well with our late rounders but the reason for that may apply less going forward. Tillis referenced this as well in his combine interview the other day. When you have holes everywhere it is easy to fill them with a draft pick, but once you have gotten things to a certain level that changes. At that point maybe a late round pick doesn’t upgrade your team like it did n previous seasons. Hence the low picks become less impactful for us, there is less utility. Which could play into them being more willing to use them in a trade.

I don’t have those concerns here. But first, I never understood a lot about why the TO and the challenges were so hard. Wouldn’t you have a guy looking at the challenge option on a video, wired into the coach’s earpiece? All he has to do is say, hold up we can challenge that and win. Same for clock management. Have an assistent dedicated to to keeping the HC straight in that. But what do I know. In the real world it is happening this way. To your concerns, I would say I don’t feel too threatened that Idzik gets stolen for a head coach job any time soon. He would need to cook for two to three years straight before he would get that kind of credibility. If for some reason he did get hired away, Bevell is here and is probably better at it than Idzik. I favor defensive guys because they generally have tougher teams, less finesse more ass kicking mentality. In my perception anyway.

Okay this is good. We have to do something. Next, let’s get younger at the stater position. Maybe I should have said less young?
