  1. Daniel Jones isn't good, but he's waaaaay better than Darnold. It's definitely not an apples and apples comparison. I'm not absolving Brady of all blame, but he looked way better last year with a more physically limited but much smarter QB. I just don't know that any OC could make this dumpster fire of an offensive roster work.
  2. So most of the plays ran against us when Luke was here were bad plays?
  3. Define a "good play". They're all good if they work. It's hard for them to work when your offense is limited severely by a terrible OL and a terrible QB.
  4. They don't do the "Keep Pounding" chant anymore, they've replaced it with the McConaughey clip and everyone is supposed to slowly thump their chest. It's landing with an absolute thud and everyone just looks around at each other like WTF? This is what they play: It's so fuging cringe.
  5. When you can't block and you have a QB who is one read and panic and throw an INT, it really limits your ability to run an offense whether we're talking NFL, college, high school, whatever.
  6. Due to problems on the OL and problems at QB and Rhule demanding a more run focused attack (for good reason), were probably running on a fraction of our total playbook.
  7. Tepper needs to be taking a long hard look in the mirror. Yeah, I'm fine with demanding a high level of performance and accountability but Tepper has to accept that it looks like he's failed massively in putting the right people (and perhaps right processes) in place to begin with. You know, kinda what I said with both of our QB moves. It's a problem when I'm sitting on the couch beer in hand laughing at the moves and correctly calling how they're gonna turn out. I'm talking specifically about the moves at QB and the OL acquisitions. They were obviously horrible moves. It might be time to realize we're not smart enough to outsmart the rest of the league on this stuff.
  8. Being smart when it comes to investments doesn't necessarily equal smart when it comes to running a football organization. Very different things. I haven't seen a whole lot of evidence that it's translating thusfar.
  9. Jones is terrible. He and his turnovers were the only thing that kept us in the game there for awhile.
  10. Yep. Guilty. My agenda is to have a competitive NFL football team just like your agenda is to have the most laughably homer take on everything Panthers related.
  11. The OL is a huge issue. Everyone knows that. But Sam Darnold isn't out in unfortunate situations. Sam Darnold IS the unfortunate situation.
  12. Time to pull the plug on Darnold. If we have any hope it isn't with Sam. I honestly think the only reason we haven't already is because we know PJ is even worse and Rhule is cringing at the thought of exposing that we really did go all in on Sam Darnold by completely failing to have even an NFL quality backup behind him, much less a true plan B.
  13. So... the decision makers and coaches are the problem but Tepper who brought them all in isn't? Okay.
  14. Exactly what would you like him to do differently? Teams are stacking the box against the run and the short pass logic says to threaten down the field. The problem with that is that when Darnold throws down the field he tends to throw to the wrong team.
  15. Imagine if we fire Brady just to watch him go build a powerhouse at LSU or take another NFL OC job and have great success. It won't be at all surprising. I really don't think he's the problem. If you suck at OL and you suck at QB you're gonna suck on offense. You just can't scheme your way around massive deficiencies at both.
  16. If you don't trust this staff to evaluate a QB (which is completely understandable given the two they've chosen so far) then you gotta clean house and start over.
  17. If we think there's a potential franchise QB on the board, FUGING DRAFT HIM. When you need a QB you don't have the luxury of picking and choosing the absolute perfect timing. When the opportunity presents itself you have to jump. When you're sitting through everyone else's trash can to try to find the answer at the most important position in the game, that's exactly what you're likely to find - trash.
  18. It's the way the offense is signaled. Most college spread offenses do it. It's no different than the old lifting of the leg.
  19. Watch the last two seasons. He rarely ran at all. It's just been out of sheer necessity this year.
  20. If you're a grown ass adult getting in a physical fight over sports fandom, you need to reevaluate everything about your life. It's not because of any "adult" atmosphere or *GASP!* promoting beer sales. It's because some people are classless pieces of poo with room temperature IQs.
  21. The oddest stat by far to me is that this team has won 4 games.
  22. Chip Kelly was having success until he wrestled full control and then it all fell apart very quickly. Very few are cutout to wear both the coach and the GM hat. It's just too much on one person's plate.
  23. I was all in on trading for Watson until... well, you know.
  24. I'd feel bad for Darnold if it wasn't for the money he was making. I'll gladly embarrass myself on national television on the football field for those checks.
  25. Tepper. He's the one who went all in on Rhule and handed a college coach full control of football operations from jump street.
