  1. I don't put a whole lot of stock into PFF. With our OL signings, it looks like we targeted guys who were good at certain things and just weren't great all around. This could (hopefully) imply that we finally have a staff that will actually scheme around their talent instead of trying to force square pegs into their round hole system.
  2. He was signed because our OGs suck. He's probably not great, but he's better than what we had.
  3. So... you're getting off on that. Just like you would if a player is released (in which case the team would be failing to uphold the contract they entered into). Anytime you see the "strong man" winning you get off on it. It's weird.
  4. That's the same as #2. Sidenote... it's weird how much you get off on the wealthy man trying to force his will on the less wealthy man.
  5. They know they're still holding this bad hand because they didn't honor his initial trade request. Had they done so, some other team (quite possibly us) would be sitting there with a franchise QB potentially facing serious legal issues, a possibly irreparable public image, and a probably lengthy suspension (if the potential legal issues don't land him in prison). They would be HUGE winners. Instead, by playing hardball they're currently holding a bad hand and so they have two choices: 1. Cut bait, trade him for whatever they could get (IF the league would even approve a trade right now) with the trade haul confirming what a bad call they made playing hardball. 2. Continue to play hardball and hope the situation improves creating a better trade scenario for them. We'll see how it plays out, but all indications are they're gonna go #2. Pun fully intended.
  6. Current management has no other choice than to stay the course. Staying the course got them to this mess. They gotta ride this thing into the ground now.
  7. I had no idea who this guy is or what his track record was, but a quick Googling turns up that he's pretty much just a typical "hot takes" radio jock. I wouldn't give this more than a coin flip's chance of being accurate.
  8. Yeah, this stuff coming out about Watson was a straight up shocker. I mean, if it happened to someone like Big Ben it wouldn't have been surprising.
  9. Honestly, I do too. But if you put an MVP caliber QB on this roster we'd make some serious noise as long as our OL proved serviceable.
  10. Sure, try to get the Texans to take him but honestly we'd probably end up having to flip him for s late round pick like we did with Teddy, exposing ourselves to the reality of his actual market value and how bad we got taken to the cleaners.
  11. It's also worth pointing out that CMC being back would've reduced Samuel's targets anyway. A lot of those screens and short passes designed for YAC that were going to Samuel last year would typically go to CMC.
  12. No. Definitely not. Elite starting OT >>>>> good slot WR/gadget player. I would've loved to have kept Samuel, but not at that price.
  13. They drafted Davis Mills at the top of the 3rd. I don't think they'd have any interest in Darnold. Might as well give Mills a look and see what the have there.
  14. If the Texans were willing to accept less that would make sense, but the Texans are pretty much writing a textbook on how not to handle a sticky situation. So far, they've pretty much chosen the dumbest option available at every turn and seem committed to stay that course.
  15. Any team that would give up three 1sts and more for Watson before his situation is fully resolved is really dumb. If the Texans are going to hold firm on their asking price, then they're going to be holding onto Watson for quite some time.
  16. If we had Cam in his prime right now, we'd be talking SB aspirations if the OL could simply be average. Our offensive weapons are elite. Our D is young and talented.
  17. I don't think he'll be traded until his current "situation" is resolved and maybe his suspension served. That would be ideal for the Panthers letting us get a good look at Darnold in the meantime.
  18. Well, this thread has completely derailed.
  19. You mean @iamhubby1 was blatantly incorrect? The same guy who barely grasps the English language? The same guy who claims to be trolling and thinks he's getting under everyone else's skin then accuses another poster of being a narcissist for thinking his own posts might be getting under the skin of others?
  20. So triggered you evidently forgot you quoted and replied to that post twice. Keep thinking you're the one getting under everyone else's skin because it's hilarious.
  21. Looks like someone is in the midst of another meltdown. Interesting to see from someone who considers himself so cool, calm and collected while thinking everyone else is emotional.
  22. Which is why it should always be the goal. Without Cam, our 15-1 SB team would've been a .500 team.
  23. It's just that you don't see to have a good grasp of the English language. You clearly misinterpreted my last post that was very easy to read. English is either a second language or... well, I hope English is a second language.
  24. Is English a second language for you? You sure do struggle with it.
