  1. Evidently some Bears players are lobbying Eberflus to bench Caleb Williams. I'd be surprised if our boy DJ Moore isn't among them.
  2. And we have the wish.com version of Tua.
  3. That OL is a disaster. Dude didn't stand a chance last night.
  4. Bryce and Caleb's struggles are for very different reasons. If Bruce had Caleb's physical talent you'd probably have an elite QB. Unfortunately Bryce doesn't have the physical talent and Caleb doesn't have the mental toughness.
  5. That's fair. I guess that kinda speaks to what I value most in OL play - consistency. The SB50 OL had a higher ceiling of play but Remmers was a massive liability against speed rushers as we saw in our only two losses that year. We missed out on an undefeated regular season and a Lombardi because Remmers absolutely could not handle elite speed rushers and Shula could not scheme around it. Roll the pocket? Focus on plays allowing the ball to come out quicker? Nonsense! We do what we do! We'll keep an extra blockers in and just keep running our same slow developing downfield stuff no matter what!
  6. This honestly might be our best overall OL ever. Our other good OLs had worse weak links IMO that were easier to exploit.
  7. I'm much more familiar with the 4-3 so I'm sympathetic to that but there have been great defenses of both varieties. The good (well actually bad) thing is that we need such a defensive retooling that we shouldn't be beholden to either front and our best and only big money front seven guy (Brown) is scheme versatile.
  8. That FG should seal it for Miami. That's good for our draft position. With Tua back(for the time being) I really don't see them as a threat for draft position. They're a lot better than us when they have Tua.
  9. Trai Turner was an absolute road grader before injuries started taking their toll. That Turner/Norwell pairing was special with Norwell being a great puller.
  10. Getting manhandled by rookie WRs in the run game is just fuging embarrassing but also completely expected for Burns. The guy will always be a liability in the run game when you run right at him. He's a good pursuit tackler in the running game but he can't set an edge for poo. Never could. Probably never will.
  11. Development requires having the physical talent prerequisites
  12. And another turnover. This is ridiculous. LOL
  13. It's another absolute turnover fest this evening
  14. As a fan I agree. If I'm Dave Canales I saw Frank Reich get fired mid season last year. I'm probably wanting to go the route that I feel will make the team lost competitive any given Sunday.
  15. I think Canales has seen enough to know that Bryce is not the answer. And that's honestly a very good thing.
  16. Williams is definitely regressing and Bryce is doing what he can to maximize his skills but Williams still has significant upside that Bryce just doesn't have. We're still basically running a redzone offense all over the field because Bryce can't stretch the defense beyond that.
  17. Yeah, I don't see those bending screens holding up well over time. I worked for Motorola for several years right when they were getting him the smartphone game. Left shortly after they sold to Google knowing Google had no long-term plans on hardware. They wanted Motorola for the patent trove. Motorola is owned by Lenovo (China) now. Personally, I've been using Google Pixel phones flashed with Graphene for years to get away from as much of the spyware as possible.
  18. I think he's pretty average and if you're under contract it doesn't matter if you want to leave or not unless someone is offering you a HC job. He'll basically get out of your unit what the roster is. If you have an elite unit he'll probably get you an elite D, average unit average D, bottom of the barrel unit bottom of the barrel D. He is as a coordinator what a game manager QB is IMO. You'll be what you are, he's not going to significantly lift you up or drag you down.
  19. With a top 10 pick I'm saying QB, pass rusher, WR, CB, or trade down. Those are the only position groups that command that type of draft investment other than OT and we don't have need there. If there's a guy you project as an elite Ed Reed/Earl Thomas type of over the top sideline to sideline safety that qualifies too but honestly the top 10 worthy safety prospects only come around once every few years or so.
  20. I wouldn't necessarily be looking at Evero's scheme projecting defenders to the Panthers in the off-season. Just saying. When you have one of the bottom units in the league and you're a holdover from the last staff your future is probably very much undetermined.
  21. Which is just a statement of how historically bad Bryce has been.
  22. This. Bryce has improved from not looking like he belongs on an NFL roster period to looking like he could potentially carve out a legit career as an NFL backup. If you're watching him play and you're seeing a starter you need to schedule an appointment with an optometrist pronto because your ass is going blind.
  23. Unless they have OL injured that are going to return I'm not seeing a fix for their issues. It's the trenches.
  24. This. Bryce is showing that he might potentially have a future as a backup. That is a big improvement for him.
