  1. I mean, we have the worst record in the NFL since Tepper bought the team. It's not like that breeds optimism.
  2. Definitely possible they have several prospects that could potentially make sense for us.
  3. Yeah, it basically feels likes Marty Hurney minus the slam dunk 1st round picks which basically equals just straight up trash. LOL
  4. Honestly it might work to their favor. They desperately need OL help. This way they aren't tempted to take Carter or Hunter and they'll do what they should and just take their choice of the OT crop.
  5. I just don't see enough blue chip prospects to bait trade ups. I don't think there will be much interest in trading up and any offers will likely be well below traditional market value.
  6. After all the spending they did on D in FA, if they don't take an OT at #4 I'm demanding a trade if I'm Drake Maye.
  7. There was a HUGE gap between ASU and Texas and Skattebo put up a legendary performance. Penn State was 8th in run defense and Texas was 12th. I think Jeanty is a very good RB prospect. But I do think people are really overrating him. I don't think he's special and they're getting caught up in his college stats and overlooking the reality that he doesn't contribute much at all as a receiver and that he was putting up those stats versus well below average competition. I just don't see the generational type RB prospect people are trying to make him out to be.
  8. I can't imagine being as obsessed about a rival college team as you are. LOL
  9. Turning down two 1st for Burns just to turn around and trade him a year later for waaaaaaaay less was just peak Panthering.
  10. I think ideally with Warren you're looking at a Jason Witten type guy. He's not a guy that wows you athletically, he just does everything right and despite not wowing you, at the end of the game and the end of the season he's put up good numbers and had a big impact. The issue is that most of these guys turn out to not be Jason Witten. They project more as solid to good starters but they won't turn out to be future HOFers like Witten. Panthers fans love Wesley Walls and for good reason, but would you want Wesley Walls with a top 10 pick? I honestly think that Colston Loveland has the higher ceiling of the two.
  11. Playoffs and a winning record would be super nice but I've become so accustomed to talking draft by Halloween that I'll believe that's going to change when it actually does.
  12. What was that good defense? Because Oregon was 64th in the country in YPC allowed and their 38th in rushing yards allowed likely would've been lower had teams not been playing from behind for most of the year. The reality is that they were a middle of the pack run D. C'mon man, those PAC-12 teams have jever won on defense. You know this. You don't have to create a false narrative to prop up your favorite very good draft prospect.
  13. We'll know who RB1 is in a few years. I just find it funny how State fans come running to talk poo about how UNC fans always do something any time anything UNC is mentioned. Oddly, I don't recall any UNC fans shitting on Icky as a prospect because of where he went to school or mentioning his college team when he's looking like a turnstile in pass pro. The inferiority complex is just annoying. Are any Carolina fans talking crap about any State prospects this year? I wouldn't mind at all to draft Belton in the mid-rounds. I don't give a poo where a guy went to school. If he went to UNC, great. But that's just icing on the cake.
  14. For the record, I don't think Jeanty is "crazy overrated". I just don't think there's much if any gap between Jeanty and Hampton and if you like your RBs to double as receiving threats you might actually prefer Hampton. I think they're both legit 1st round RB prospects which translates to elite RB prospects in the modern NFL
  15. Average strength of schedule. Overall, Boise's was significantly weaker over the last three seasons.
  16. 2024: Boise - 66, UNC - 70 2023: Boise - 69, UNC - 49 2022: Boise - 89, UNC - 49 Average over their careers: Boise - 75, UNC - 56
  17. Virtually the same. 66 vs. 70. Meanwhile, Hampton was also UNC's 3rd leading receiver because he was basically the entire offense. Boise actually had a competent passing attack.
  18. He looked very ordinary against the one good defense he played against.
  19. This. A trade down honestly sounds like a good idea but getting fleeced just to say we traded down doesn't. I'd rather take the BPA at #8 than move down for considerably less than traditional market value.
  20. If Watts is available that's a huge red flag. That would probably scream that he's washed. He's coming off of the fewest sacks of his career since his rookie season aside from his one injury shortened season and he's on the wrong side of 30 now. These are the types of guys good organizations grade cashing in on the name value. It's confusing to Panthers fans because these are the types of guys the Panthers have historically backed up the Brinks truck to give career achievement contracts vs. "what do we expect moving forward" contracts.
  21. I honestly don't know that we could get a 2nd. I'm just saying that if I was calling the shots for the Bengals that would make a lot of sense to me. I've been watching my MVP caliber QB take an absolute beating his entire career. A 2nd rounder to help curb that even if for the relative short term seems like a well spent 2nd rounder. At 31 with potential knee issues, Moton probably isn't the long-term solution for them but he could definitely be a 2-3 year bandaid.
